The place is very unusual, there are mostly local guests of various profiles, sometimes you can feel unsafe even though there is a lot of police and the streets are lit. The center is small but nice and organized, there is a lot of good and cheap food. The great thing is that it is well connected to Rome, the train goes every 15 minutes and in 20 minutes you are in Rome, which is many times more expensive in every sense than Lida di Ostia. Lovers of good beaches and the sea will not be impressed because the sea is shallow and you cannot swim in the depths because stone barriers have been installed, so all you have to do is splash around in the shallows, which are mostly cloudy because the beach is sandy. Ostia is a beautiful city next to the Airport and just a short ride from Rome. I truly love it there, in the last year I visited 3 times and I cant wait to come back. We were only there for 1 night.
We were only there for 1 night. From what I saw and experienced; it is a beautiful place to visit and experience the lifestyle.. It is very easy to get around and the evening life is very active but quite peaceful. The outdoor plaza is a great place to visit with it many restaurants and varied foods. There is entertainment and many local crafters selling their wares and a Merry-go-round and activities for the children. The expansive beach is very close by.Guest review byAlan BaileyCanada

And I guess in 1968 (when they built it) it was easier to get such a spot practically on the beach and meters from the center. Breakfast is decent and typical for lower category hotels in Italy (and maybe for some higher category too). The property is well maintained, nothing fancy, but clean and everything working well.
