Such a nice surprise this little hotel! We didn’t even know where we are going, just booked some nice hotel in some nice coastal town in Italy and it’s a gem! Very very clean, nice staff and great breakfast with real espresso coffe. This means a lot to me. It’s 5 minute walk to the coast and it is the nicest little city I’ve ever been to.

Very calm, modern and cozy house in the middle of the city. Well equipped with very nice patio. Stuff is friendly and happy to help. Parking next to the house. To the maybe it 7 min by walk and 40 min to Bibione by ship. Thank you and see you next year!

    A peaceful place to unwind and ease into the Italian rhythm of life. Marano Lagunare isn’t a flashy resort town—and that’s exactly why it’s special. Not the best choice for restless kids who need constant entertainment, but ideal for anyone seeking quiet beauty and authenticity. The nearby nature reserve is one of the few wetland areas that hasn’t been sacrificed for tourism development. No elephants or crocodiles here—just serene landscapes teeming with waterbirds. In the right season, you might even spot flamingos. Perfect for birdwatchers and anyone who appreciates nature that still feels untouched.

    We spent time walking around the small old town and harbour.

    We spent time walking around the small old town and harbour. Enjoying a sundowner at one of the Bars in town and on the waterside. We ate in the Jo Hotel restaurant and also at a Pizzeria. A highlight of our visit was a boat trip on the Battello Santa Maria that lasted several hours and included lunch, drinks and onboard entertainment. Nico the Captain and host provides an wonderful commentary in Italian, he sings a few melodies and makes certain everyone has a great time. For nature lovers there is a nature reserve. Getting around the Old Town is easy and the bars are friendly and patronised by locals. By car one can easily access Grado, Trieste, Palmanova Outlet Village for bargain shopping. Lignano is in easy reach and Venice is also a little over an hour away. Marano is a pretty laid back fishing village for a stay of a few relaxing days.

    JO is a well-designed and maintained hotel. The beds were comfortable, and even the little things, such as the hardness of the pillow, were just right. Also a detail, the aircon was silent, all contributing to a good night sleep. The staff is very good. Last but not least, we've enjoyed two diners here, and can highly recommend their restaurant. It's real food, at reasonable prices, nice ambient, and seems to be popular with the locals too.

    This is an excellent place to stay in Marano Lagunare, especially for cyclists. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are great, the staff are fabulous, and the breakfast service is excellent. Because we had analogue bikes (not e-bikes) we were able to store our bikes in the room in the special racks provided.

    Nice renovated property just a view steps from the heart of Marano Lagunare. Rooms are clean and modern equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially breakfast was a very well. We enjoyed our stay and will come back everytime.
