The staff was very helpful. We were only hosts there but everything was perfect. Including breakfest. Parking close to apartment. Apartment was clean and servis with clean towel every day. Perfect!

This is a wonderful apartment. It would be more correct to say that it is a part of the house. A great place to feel how the locals live. In life, everything is much better than in the photos. There is all the equipment (even an air grill and a dryer), there is a small garden inside the house. All the furniture, dishes and equipment are new or in very good condition. You can park your car for free near the house. The owners are a family. On the day of our arrival, they gave us a local fruit - a huge sweet Sicilian lemon. They are very kind, ready to help with any questions. Every morning they brought us breakfast. In addition to breakfast, there was a small additional treat - marzipan or chocolates. The hostess asked what we wanted to see and tried to help with any questions. It seemed that we were not tourists, but relatives of the owners who came to visit them. The town is very quiet, the sea is close, it is very convenient to get to Catania, Taormina, the outlet or the volcano Etna. The hosts are friendly to guests. Our dog was given a special bed, which he really liked. We subsequently had to buy one for our house. If we had to go to Sicily again, we would choose to stay in this house.

We loved that the property was exceptionally clean, it had everything you can possibly need from welcoming gifts, cookware, hygienic products, everything was top notch. We enjoyed the gated community and the pool, it was fascinating seeing Sicilian/Italian culture, eating dinner in the balcony made you feel like you were apart of the culture. They had a fiesta on saturday and there was music, dancing, food tasting. There’s a beach right next to the apartment where you can snorkel, take a swim. The apartment also had roof access where you can see etna and Giarre which looks beautiful at night. A big warm thank you to the mom and son who welcomed us very warmly and were always ready to help, even gave a list of things to do and recommendations for the best time you could have. We were amazed with the experience the apartment owners provided, truly rare and truly amazing.

    We were in Fondachello and we really enjoyed restaurants bars and the beach. However, the place is not really looked after very well by the local council. It is a shame as it has great potentials to become a top tourist spot

    Our hotel was placed in between Mascali and Riposto.

    Our hotel was placed in between Mascali and Riposto. We never went to Mascali but to Riposto. It’s old and run down. Whole town appears to close for siesta - check times before visiting. There is a faded charm to the town and a good long beach with some decent restaurants. Amazing views of Etna - it’s so close we had ash settle on our clothes while sitting outside.

    A dead town without taxis, without shops.

    A dead town without taxis, without shops. Only two small mini markets, everything else closed (pharmacy, butcher). The city is probably only for summer guests. But the sea is beautiful and clean. Great LIDO PALM BEACH that I recommend.

    The staff are very welcoming, helpful and speak good English. The owners were also very accommodating for our request. Breakfast was very good and included a wide variety of food. Rooms are of a good size and we had one exactly near the pool. The property is very nice to stay relaxing as it is surrounded by plants and trees. There are also swings for the young ones. As for the location, an ideal place for summer as it is very close to beaches. For winter, need a car to be able to go out of Mascali as there isn't much to do.

    We really loved the area and staff was totally amazing. They where very patient with the kids especially. Breakfast food was really good considering the price! Pool was nice and the bar was really convenient. Again staff was simply amazing!! They just make you want to go back. There was a small playing field as well which the kids loved! We really loved that there was a gate which is always closed and opened by a pin code so that made us feel safe. The hotel restaurant was very good and food was delicious.

    Staying in Mascali was interesting to see another side of Italy away from tourists. Amazing wood fired roast chicken and chips just nearby. Overall the accommodation okay but lacking some attention to detail. Easy checkin overall. Cheap price. Bathrooms and bedroom were clean.
