Transport to and from Malpensa airport is cheaper and quicker by bus rather than train, if travelling locally by train e.g. Bergamo. Get a ticket from the Transnord office (green signage) preferably the day before! The big guys like Trenitalia will just send you there. What a beautiful, elegant city. Tree lined streets and fairytale housing. Almost all the buildings were decorative in some way. The Duomo is absolutely stunning! Too busy. Lots of graffiti and overflowing bins. Lots of lovely restaurants however very limited for lunch or snacks. Ok if you wanted a meal during the day. Very limited Gluten Free options, and not all restaurants had that option. Very little tourist information. No signs to direct to anything, so you had to rely on the internet or guide books.
