Whilst Mondavio is small and a little sleepy, for a short...
Whilst Mondavio is small and a little sleepy, for a short break or as a base with a hire car it's perfect. It's safe, parking is free and plentiful. There are enough bars and restaurants to keep you occupied. If you're not renting a car, you can get there by public transport and would be quite self-sufficient. We walked to a little supermarket to stock up on provisions whilst we were there. Food and bars are excellent, and much more reasonable than the UK. Amazing host. Helpful, attentive, kind. There are restaurants and bars a five to ten minute drive away. The one we used had a pick-up menu. The host helped with the telephone order and also with collection. Roberta, our host is a really lovely person, could not be more helpful, she's also a very good Baker and makes cakes for breakfast!Guest review byPeter

The photos don't do it justice! The rooms are recently renovated and done really well. We stayed in Family room which was two separate double rooms but connected with a door inside so it was absolutely perfect. The whole place was super clean. The food was excellent. The village is also really interesting but quiet at the same time and you get a lovely view of the castle from the hotel. Better than some 4* hotels. The property also has a bar and good restaurant. It’s cozy with a warm atmosphere. Breakfast was ñ really good as well.
