When we got to the gate of the estate, I first thought it was a navigation mistake, as it seemed too beautiful to be real. When we entered, it only improved - huge green yards, beautiful palace/building, amazing interior, and decor. felt like a visit to a movie scene. The host, Francesco, a noble person (not by heritage, by manner and behaviour), welcomed us, was patient and kind to give us a tour through the beautiful place, shared the history of the region and Italy, and then showed us to our living compound. Everything is breathtaking, beginning with the old original art, the house artifacts, the toiletteries, really everything. It's a few minutes' drive from everything we wanted to see. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay in this heavenly spot

The hotel was 15 minutes drive from the town of Ferrara, so away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the town. The two receptionists that we met during our time there both spoke English which was very helpful since I cannot speak Italian. The breakfast was not extravagant but was enough for me and depending on your schedule it is easy to change the time by filling in the form to suit your plans. There are nice green lawns around the hotel for taking a relaxing wander and it has an enclosed swimming pool in the grounds which the staff offered to open if we wanted to go swimming. The staff themselves went above and beyond to be helpful.
