Our very first experience of staying in a Masseria in Puglia was fantastic. A fairly large property nestled in the middle of Olive farms, so quiet and divinely peaceful. The property is very well maintained, very clean, and with a very attentive and helpful service staff. Though it comes also with a big swimming pool (as with most Masserias), the weather was too cold for a swim. The Masseria provides a good varied breakfast, and dinner is quite varied with many options. We never had lunch, but they also provide lunch as well. We would definitely stay here again when we are back in Puglia.

The hosts were lovely people who responded to our every need. We even got a larger room than we booked, which was a very nice gesture. And the breakfast served on the terrace was the best in the area. Agrotourism Spesseto is a beautiful place for rest in peace and olive grove.

Host was so kind and helping us everything we need, actually even more. He kindly arranged for us to visit Olive oil manufacturing plant and spent time together. It was a so nice breakfast like having a breakfast at home~^^ I will visit again definitely if I travel to Italia.

Montelbano is a peaceful little town, which is a nice base to explore Puglia. Although I have been travelling from accommodation to accommodation during my time in Puglia, I was pleasantly surprised by the state and quality of Villa Ricciardi. The house looks brand new, it's very clean, high quality materials are used and everything looks and feels splendid. Also a big compliment to the host, Antonio, as he has been giving me lots of information about the surroundings and giving me tips on where to go next. If you want a peaceful retreat, in a little small town in Puglia, and you come by car, go to Villa Ricciardi

    Montalbano is a good starting point to tour the area and the...

    Montalbano is a good starting point to tour the area and the beautiful contryside around. Montalbano itself is a small town that may not attract tourists for its design. However, there are nice restaurants and a small supermarket with tasty local products and a fruit and vegetable stall just outside it. Two experiences are definitely worth trying: 1. An amazing grilled meat dinner at "Braceria Mola", at very good value for money. Dining is in their back garden, so check that no rain is expected. Street parking only, which is free. 2. Not to miss in Montalbano is the ice cream and patisserie parlour, known as "Mapà Pasticceria Gelateria". One of the best ice creams ever. They have their own car parking, which helps a lot.

    Our stay in II Truletto was more then perfect...The hosts were so polite, helpful and cheerful...The room was a traditional one, with everything inside (a kitchen, a coffee machine, a washing machine)....plus it was super clean...The tart they prepared for breakfast was delicious 💕 The room is in the very center of Montalbano...Walking distance to MAPA bakery...would love to come again
