Everything! Could not fault it! The entire hotel is simply stunning! More beautiful in real life. Service and staff are remarkable. They went over and above! All were very friendly and helpful! Our stay at Hotel Marvin was great! The location is very good, easy to get around to different cities by a car. There were parking spaces with shade. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent! Room had a refrigerator. Room was clean and cleaned daily. Would definitely visit again if travelling in the area.

The host was exceptional. Very accommodating and guided us through the town, showed me where to park and eat. Couldn't of met a friendlier host. The room was great, and it's 5 mins walking from the town square. Breakfast was great as well.

    Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time...

    Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time here and brought a friend for 2 nights which she thought was perfect. Allowed enough time to see the town, enjoy long meals and leisurely walks to see everything and do some shopping while not having to rush - views are spectacular and people are all so nice and most have enough English to adequately communicate if you don't know any Italian. Wine is fantastic everywhere and it's not priced like a tourist town - prefer it to San Gimignano, Cortona, Orvieto, Todi and Assisi if you only have time to do one (they are all worth visiting though!). Train to Chiusi then bus straight into town if you don't want to rent a car - super simple & reliable schedule but there is free parking and plenty of paid lots if you do rent a car. Also centrally located with, easy visits to several smaller towns like Pienza, and Lucignano if you do have a car and want to extend your stay in same property.

    I was planning to go to Tuscany for a long time.

    I was planning to go to Tuscany for a long time. And with lots of expectation, I was afraid of being disappointed with any minor issue arising during the trip. But I never did. All cities I visited during the trip exceeded my expectations. I could have stayed more nights in Montepulciano.

    Nothing not to like!!

    Nothing not to like!! Ercolani had excellent free winetour and tasting-fantastic wine! Wonderful Pattiserie with great variety of fresh tasty pastries right at entrance of old town! Plenty of good places to eat with great variety. People very friendly! Streets beautiful!

    Many shops and great restaurants,historical buildings,especially churches. Not a far drive from many other spots like Forance, Sienna, etc. And it's in the middle of wine country! Parking can be a problem

    This trip was only a week, but I have stayed here twice...

    This trip was only a week, but I have stayed here twice before for 3-4 weeks each time. I don't rent a car (but that is a good option). Instead, I use the local buses. The bus to Chuisi is frequent, and from Chuisi you can catch the train to Firenze, Rome, or elsewhere. There are lots of Etruscan museums in the area.

    This is a lovely family-owned farm with a nice restaurant and a lovely view! Especially at sunset. Our a/c was giving problems and they attended to it immediately. And went out of their way to help us when we needed early checkout. It is close enough to Montepulciano, but you need a car. This was not a problem for us. One of the highlights of my trip to Italy!

    Cugusi was our favourite stay during our trip in Italy. Amazing views. A lot of breakfast options and the staff was great. Cugusi is conveniently located on a hill with an amazing view of Montepulicano. It is roughly a 5 minute drive into the city making it a great location. If we are lucky enough to come back to Tuscany, I would stay here again.

    Good location - only <15min drive from Montepulciano and within 1 hour drive to many nearby Tuscan towns. The hotel breakfast and dinner food quality was excellent. We were in love with the omelet served at breakfast every day. The pasta dishes were also very very good (beating many restaurants in the hilltop towns nearby).

    Salcheto was a wonderful place to stay in regional Tuscany - well located near Montepulciano. The room was beautiful and so comfortable for three people. The winery/ property was gorgeous, the restaurant was delicious and the tour of the winery and wine tasting was interesting. Highly recommend.
