The property is a high level hotel. The rooms are very nicely equipped, having a large TV and also a comfortable large double bed. Although the hotel is not centrally located they offer a free shuttle to and from Naples city center. Mauro, the driver is very helpful with tourists, offering his local knowledge of the history of Naples and places of interest. He is also a very gentle person, like all the other employees,including reception staff, chambermaids and waiters. My next visit to Naples will definitely be at Gold Tower Lifestyle Hotel.

The Hotel is very comfortable and quiet. Once you are inside you forget that you are in a quite active city. Also Arianna, who runs the Hotel was very helpful and gave us tips for restaurants and other activities. Our room was very spacious and clean, eqauiped with a fridge, a coffe maker and some small snacks.

Great location, clean, recently and nicely refurbished, very spacious, and nice cosmetic products (L’Occitane). We spent 5 nights here and were quickly reaching all areas of interest in Naples and also the Garibaldi station to catch the train to Pompei and Herculaneum. The cleaning lady was also very nice and ensuring each time we saw her that everything was fine. We would definitely come back. Also, very clear instructions given by WhatsApp prior to our arrival.

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and funicular railways. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of visitable tunnels and even a Graeco-Roman theatre which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artefacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

    We enjoyed the care-free and friendly nature of the city.

    We enjoyed the care-free and friendly nature of the city. However there was an excess of chaos to put up with. Nowhere on-line was it mentioned that Metro Line 6 was closed or that a huge amount of the seafront was blocked by road improvement works. These hazards spoiled our trip to the sea front and views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius after a difficult journey to get there. Our onward journey by train to Siracusa was an hour delayed without any notice provided. But we thoroughly enjoyed our two days in Naples and would recommend it to those able to overcome a few hazards. The food was excellent and evening hype very welcome.

    The city lives of and lives for the emotion.

    The city lives of and lives for the emotion. Here I mean of FC Napoli, Italy, Maradona, great food, Lemons.... The city should everyone once in a life time visit it. The city is very crowdy, emotional, passionate. If you want calm and coldhearted city go somewhere north. This wont be for you if you don't like this passion.

    Busy vibrant city. Plenty to do & see as well as gorgeous squares for a coffee & some people watching. Well worth a visit & we will be returning. The underground Naples trip so worth doing, a visit to Procida also worth doing, easy hydrofoil trip. Quick train ride to Herculaneum, definitely worth a visit. Not too busy but plenty to see - we used Get Your Guide for the tour. Naples is totally walkable. You can eat pretty much anywhere tbh. Best pizza was Gino & Toto Sorbillo (main restaurant) astonishingly yummy 😋

    The food and drinks in the city are excellent and very affordable. However, the service is terrible — staff are rude and unhelpful. The city is extremely dirty, with very few trash bins available. Public transportation is poor: buses are dirty, drivers often ignore pedestrian crossings and traffic lights, and almost no one can speak English to provide guidance. Even at major tourist sites, English is rarely spoken, making it difficult for visitors to navigate. In summary, while food and drink prices are attractive, the city’s cleanliness, service, and public transportation leave much to be desired.

    I’ve been to Italy 3 times, this is my first time at Naples.

    I’ve been to Italy 3 times, this is my first time at Naples. I think I like a mixture of things at Naples. Naples was added as a last minute thing because I originally was going to Puglia after my stay at Almafi Coast. A direct train access to Pompeii is a big plus. Easy access to metro stations and you get to see Italy as it really is. Pompeii is well preserved and you can imagine the bustling activities of Roman Pompeii.

    Pompei and Vesuvius were great.

    Pompei and Vesuvius were great. The city of Naples however is not. I fear for this apparently lawless city. Scruffy, unloved and neglected the beautiful architecture is rotting before your eyes, if you can make it out under the many inane layers of ugly graffiti. The infrastructure is crumbling. The centre of the town, particularly the historic old town, is an unfriendly, risky battle zone between bandits on scooters, cars, scam artists, trashy shops and a disinterested unfriendly population. I would avoid it completely and if you want to visit Pompei and Vesuvius then stay elsewhere, Sorento etc. Beyond the town centre to south and west is more pleasant and better kept with Chiaia a nice area and the wealthy zone around the west of the bay and into the hills is better and safer.

    Stayed as part of our touring trip of Italy including 15 stays and this one was the best by far! Incredible host that met us literally on the street of the property so make sure our motorbike was parked securely and then made us feel most welcome. We had many recommendations of places to go and we took the advice and enjoyed our stay. The beauty of the accommodation was that it was a cool and quiet retreat from busy Naples. Our stay was just perfect 👌🏻 and the host was the best!

    In my whole italy trip , this was the only hotel location which felt a bit unsafe and very dirty, I have not clicked the picture but the surrounding is dirty and the view from the 2nd floor of staircase. This was the only hotel which didn't have the elevator. Room is spacious and has a balcony . I got the room at 2nd floor and in the lobby of 2nd floor you cannot breathe properly as it was really smelling bad. Sadly I was hardly able to see locals in my surroundings.

Lovely modern B&B with everything you need in the room in a prime location of walking distance to everything you need or see. The hosts were wonderful and catered our every need and even kept our bags for a few hours while we explored Naples the day of the check out because we had an evening flight. Highly recommend.
