Beautiful hotel, great location, run by friendly and helpful people. The room is sufficiently large and the bed is comfy. The bathroom was superb with the Carrara marble plates. Also we received a lot of help from the staff as they recommend great restaurants, booked a superb place on the nearby beach and gave advices regarding Cinque Terre. Also it is a great starting location to visit Cinque Terra by boat or by train.

Liked everything about the hotel& restaurant: location, staff, cleanliness, service, the view!!! ,the food. Although you have to be a very good driver to get to the top of the hill where the hotel is located, once you get there it is all worth it.

Great hotel for little money with breakfast. It is right next to the road, but you don't hear noise (it is very quiet at night). Great view. It seems like a family run business and they are super nice! Comfortable beds, clean room and shower. You get safe free parking in the backyard. The owner gave us a hair dryer when we asked. Breakfast is based on a buffet and it has cheese, ham, bread, croissants, cookies, yogurt, milk, sweets and etc. (a lot more than ordinary Italian breakfast).

    ortonova is really well situated about 30 minutes from la spezia central station giving easy access to 5 terre. The village itself is very pretty and comes alive at night, there are some very good restaurants near by. The convent itself is really calm and the rooms are very big and comfortable.

    We had a wonderful stay in Locanda Il Monastero. We were welcomed by a very kind Lady at the reception. The surroundings are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. The parking place is very close to the hotel, but there is a small parking lot in front of the hotel, so you can park there while taking out the suitcases from your car. Our apartment was very clean and new. Higly recommended, we would like to come back.

    It was fantastic, Cristina and her family was super nice with us, they treated us that we were in a hotel. They always clead our bathroom day by day and our room as well. They even suprised us because one of our stops was here to celebrate our honeymoon. They are truly a super hospitable host! I can recommed it to everyone! <3
