Otranto city itself is not special for us and we had two BAD dinners there - imagine bad pizza in Italy! We much preferred the coastline and beaches in the surrounding area. Otranto has a charming, beautiful Altstadt.
Otranto has a charming, beautiful Altstadt. It has a wonderfully tiled big square along the harbor with lots of restaurants. The town's white washed houses are delightful. It has a nice cathedral with a huge, beautifully restord mosaic along the floor of the cathedral. Visiting the historic castello is advisable. So much to see and do, lovely, friendly atmosphere, with a beautiful port and castle and lots of wonderful restaurants to choose from! Excellent choice of restaurants both inland and on the promenade. Lots of shops selling local produce and souvenirs. Although the closest beach gets crowded there are other spots to swim off and other much larger beaches just up the coast . If you have a car. The castle is impressive and adds character to Otranto. Great base for exploring the southern tip of Italy with easy access to the main highways. The region was excellent but the town of Otranto we found overcrowded on Sunday evening. Full of tourists even on smaller side streets. Hard to enjoy although the location is fabulous. Better go there on weekday or off season.Guest review byJānisLatvia - 8.0

The room was a great size, plenty of cupboard space and a great sized bathroom. The hotel was located in an excellent position in the middle of Old Town. The room was nice and quiet but you were in the heart of Old Town which was really handy. The roof top bar had the best view and lovely to watch sunsets.
