We chose Paternopoli because a grandfather was born there...
We chose Paternopoli because a grandfather was born there before immigrating to the US. It is a nice little town on top of a hill with a couple of very nice restaurants and a number of nearby wineries -- we sampled wine at a modern one right at the edge of town. After leaving the expressway or train, the last 25 or so miles is a slow drive over very narrow, curvy, hilly roads. Paternopoli and the sourrounding countryside are very scenic.
