Our stay at Crea Una Volta was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Elena and her lovely daughter Isotta made us feel incredibly welcome—like long-lost friends rather than guests. Their warmth and attention to detail made all the difference, and it’s clear that hospitality runs deep in this family. The apartment itself is charming, cozy, and beautifully curated, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. But what really took our breath away was the view—directly overlooking the main square of Pian del Voglio. Waking up to that picture-perfect scene every morning felt like stepping into a postcard. Pian del Voglio is a hidden gem—quiet and peaceful, yet full of character and authentic Italian charm. It's the kind of town where time slows down, the people smile at you in the street, and every corner seems to tell a story. Whether you're stopping over on a longer journey or looking for a tranquil escape, this town (and this home) are more than worth the detour. We left with full hearts and a promise to return. We liked the accommodation very much. It was comfortable and neat. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. If you stay here, be sure to visit bar La Cuccia, the owner Giovanni is the friendliest guy ever!

Very nice and helpful lady. Nothing was a problem - perfect service. I liked the location of the accommodation - a village in the mountains. Romantic place. A lot of bends on the roads and hills - I recommend it for bikers! By car, an ideal place to relax. Very good location.

The appartement Casa Vacanze Ca' di Lucchini in the tiny village of San Benedetto is a genuine gem. In the family owned house from late 19 th century, Stefano and his family have refurbished the appartement to tip-top modern standard We felt at home imidiately. On our arrival we were very well received in a personal and friendly manner by the host, Stefano, and his grandson. All though he was short of english and we only knew a handful of Italian words, we managed to communicate very well. During the stay we also spoke to his wife and brother - all of them lovely and warm people. The appartement has a personal touch, and is beauitiful decorated with a mix of mordern art, cozy decoration and old antique furniture. It has enough space for a family, and it was spotless clean and very well equipped for a long stay. The beds were very good, and gave us good nights sleep. And to top it of, the value for money is outstanding. The village is some 15 minutes drive off the A1 from Fiernze to Bologna, but its more that worth a detour if you are looking for a stop over, or want a base for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

If you are walking the Via degli Dei or looking for a peaceful place to stay close to nature, don't look any further. We (a couple in their early 30s) stayed at the Refugio for one night in a 4-bed dorm room. These were the first bunk beds in a long time, where you couldn't actually feel it all moving when the other person moved a finger! They were super comfortable too, and if you are not hauling your sleeping bag around, it is possible to ask for bedsheets as well. The bathrooms looked like they were recently renovated and were super clean. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious and plentiful and provided the opportunity to connect with the other hikers. Wifi is available at the property but be prepared for spotty phone coverage (or maybe it was just our provider).

    I would class Transylvania as a " boutique" hotel as it is...

    I would class Transylvania as a " boutique" hotel as it is orientated for people who likes mystery and not afraid of skeletons. We all will be skeletons anyway! Enjoy Drakula atmosphere and a nice drink! Will definitely recommend and come back myself and next time will bring my kids! Roberta, hotel manager will assist with everything and tell you interesting stories.
