Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked.
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. There was not much in piano de sorrento but it was a good base for visiting sorrento and all the attractions , not many restaurants and bars there so hard to find a place to have food, beach was lovely but was down a steep decline and walking there was quite dangerous because I'm of lack of footpaths and drivers are crazy 🤪Guest review byAnneIreland - 10.0

If you’re traveling on a budget and dreaming of the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend staying in Piano di Sorrento. Hotels in Positano, Amalfi, or Ravello can be crazy expensive, especially during peak season. But Piano di Sorrento offers a much more affordable option without sacrificing charm or convenience. This peaceful town is just a short bus ride away from hotspots like Positano and Sorrento, (bus is limited) making it a great base for exploring the entire Amalfi Coast. You’ll still enjoy local food spots, and authentic Italian vibes—minus the tourist crowds and high prices. For budget-conscious travelers who still want easy access to all the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Piano di Sorrento is a smart and savvy choice. My husband and I liked everything.
My husband and I liked everything. Very nice and lovely owners, who gave us all of the attention to make our holiday superb! The room was clean and our bed was made every day. We had yummy breakfast and great sleep. The area is quiet and the villa is 7 min to the train station. We had welcome drinks, fresh fruit, water in the fridge and we were given some tips how to explore the area. Even phoning me in South Africa. He helped us from the word go. Even drove us to the train station on our last day. The apartment was lovely with everything we needed.
