This property is amazing for several reasons. The location is great. It is central, so it is an easy walk to where ever you want to go in Praiano. (When I say easy walk, I mean close in distance. Get ready for lots of steps and inclines!) It is also on the local bus stop #15 which will drop you close to the front door. The property has a beautiful veiw of Praiano. Besides the beautiful veiw from the room, the patio is always open and also has a beautiful view. The rooms are great - very clean. The property is a value for what you get. I would add that the premises are very peaceful. I was looking to get away on a personal retreat to reflect on my life, and this was the perfect property where to do it. If you are looking for more night life, I would suggest somewhere in Positano. But if you are looking for something more quiet and peaceful, this is the place! The best part of my stay here is the staff. They are amazing. Antonella was in constant communciation with me before I got there, giving me instructions and schedules for the ferry and buses to make sure I had what I needed to get there. She took care of me the whole time I was there - restaurant recommendations, directions around town, bus routes, and detailed instructions for my hike to Path of the Gods (be sure to bring your hiking shoes!). Lucio was incredibly kind, bringing me endless cuppaccinos every morning, and crafting the perfect omelette for me every breakfast. Antonella, her husband Salvatore, and Lucio were always available to get me whatever I needed to make my stay enjoyable and provide information to naviagate my way around. My one recommendation is that you confirm that the room you book has a view of the ocean. My first room did not, and I don't think that was clear on booking.com. After I expressed my desire to Antonella, she moved me when they had the first available opening. The price is not that much more, and definately worth the extra money.

Great location. Close to bus stop to access rest of the coast without a big hike up stairs. Close to beach that was more quiet than the rest of the coast. Staff super friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast.

A) location on the main road B) parking in the premises C) walking distance to town D) last but the most important - one of the best ever teams of owner/manager/staff that treat you like you are their family. Nothing was out of bounds. Be it the friendly service for breakfast, the adhoc drops to positano, or simply the warmth they exude in everything. It has been a while since I felt so pampered. Kudos Luigi and family - you guys really spoilt us.

My husband and I stayed at Tramonto D'Oro for our honeymoon and had an amazing time - we can't wait to come back! There was a lot of rain during our stay and the hotel did a great job adapting and scheduling activities like a wine tasting and cooking class that guests could sign up for. We did both and they were fantastic! The staff makes you feel so welcome and helps with anything you need. The location is also wonderful. An incredible view and walking distance to many delicious restaurants. You're also a short bus ride or drive to Positano or other towns in amalfi. Would definitely recommend staying at this fabulous hotel.

    You definitely need a degree of fitness for getting up and down stairs both to the property and to the beach . However the views are stunning and the location very peaceful . Lots of good places to eat within A short walk . Able to access the path of the gods for walkers .

    We enjoyed Praiano immensely and would make that our home base if we were ever to come back. We found a few very nice restaurants with lovely staff and delicious food. Went down the 400 hundred steps to the lovely beach with aqua blue water. Getting around is a bit of a challenge with all the steps. We enjoyed the challenge. It was also nice to get away from the tourists. Prison is much quieter.

    Praiano is a great place to be if you're ok with staying local and in a smaller town. Amazing views, not very walkable (as in there's not really a strip or a condensed area to visit, it's a little spread out).

    We loved the views the marina, the accomodation, the friendliness of the locals, the location was perfect for us, the bus was virtually at our front door. We had a recomme nation of Il Pino restaurant and had a great meal there with entertainment

    Praiano is away from the hustle and bustle of Positano - pretty much unspoiled by tourists. It’s small and quiet but that adds to the beauty and charm of the place. There are still lots of locals there who you will see on a daily basis. They are so friendly and welcoming. The views are outstanding. Favourite places to eat included Bar del Sole (great aperitivo) Le Strada for lemon pasta and Che Bonta for pizza. Bus is regular and takes you to Amalfi and Positano.

    Praiano is beautiful, quaint, and not as busy or touristy...

    Praiano is beautiful, quaint, and not as busy or touristy compared to Positano, yet still close enough to get there to enjoy that pace. This is great for travellers who don't want to be right in the thick of it and want something a little more peaceful. Recommend whoever stays here gets a rental car or bikes though.

    Please bear in mind this is a three star in Italy. It is simple and clean with lovely staff. Has beautiful views with a lovely pool area and a platform to the sea. The steps down are quite arduous so not for the unfit or people who do not enjoy a trek. Bear in mind much of the coast is the same. Praiano is a quiet village with little to do so it’s very convenient that the busy stop is right outside the hotel door. We really had a good time and for the price by comparison it was great.

    The couple who seem to be the owner of the hotel are very nice and helpful. I can feel they tried to help as much as they could but the facilities in the rooms are very limited. The view from our balcony is very lovely as it overlooks the sea. It is quite convenient to get to Positano on a taxi and the parking next to the hotel is quite big (compared to other places in Italy). The dinners at the hotel are quite nice

    Absolutely outstanding hotel in beautiful Praiano. Welcoming and attentive staff. Beautiful breakfast. Room with balcony was exquisite and made the Amalfi coast experience unforgettable! Pool is amazing and the pool menu is fabulous for a casual dinner in. Close to other restaurants and the walk to One Fire beach is worth the steps!

    The hotel was a 1 minute walk to the beach, close to a few restaurants and walking distance or short bus ride to Praiano which in our opinion was much nicer as it was alot more relaxed than Positano. The staff were great and the breakfast that was included was delicious. It was family run which we loved also.
