Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We asked for an extra duvet as the one supplied was too small for us. We immediately got it. Location was superb. Views for a central city hotel were outstanding.

Rome has plenty of history, however, the crowds are so massive that it makes it difficult to enjoy the main attractions. It was like a cattle herd in our visit to the Vatican. Food at some restaurants were excellent while others were very average. Not sure that I would ever go back.

Rome is historic & so much to see besides the main attractions. Gorgeous food. Book all main attractions in advance. Be mindful of distances between each if you plan on walking. Recommend hop off/on buses. If heat is an issue, go early or the later part of the year. In all, fully recommend

Rome is a busy city with so much to look at and experience.

Rome is a busy city with so much to look at and experience. Be prepared for a lot of walking! It does seem quite run down in places with a lot of graffiti, but we never felt unsafe walking at night. There are many people trying to sell you stuff you don't want where ever you go and they could be quite persistent if you made eye contact, but Rome is so full of people that there is always someone else to get their attention away from you if you shake your head! Small eateries and restaurants were all very helpful. And as someone with coeliac disease it was reassuring to see so many gluten free dedicated places to eat or AIC (Italian Coeliac Society) certified restaurants. Far better than the UK in my experience! Everywhere you went had a beautiful church you could go in or a palazzo now a gallery of art and sculpture. We found these places inexpensive and far less busy than the "must see" venues around the city, but just as interesting.

I absolutely love the Eternal City.

I absolutely love the Eternal City. It has such a great vibe and there is so much to see with the museums, churches and ancient ruins, from busy commercial districts to the spiritual serenity of the great bascilicas. On a 10 day stay I still did not time to see everything I wanted to see. Fountains are everywhere and the numerous piazzas make great places to sit, nothing like filling your water bottle from the local drinking fountain and taking in the scenery. True some places are verrrry crowded but what do you expect, so many want to come here. The Vatican Museums is perhaps the most crowded but its some experience.. If you do want to escape the crowds then there are areas like Trastevere and Monti that still echo the older traditional Rome where locals outnumber the tourists. Great by night, walking through St Peter's Square, past Castel San Angelo and over the bridges is magical. Food is great with a multitude of fresh salamis and cheeses in the markets and stores. Sit on the pavement of a cafe/tabacchi and have mineral water and a Maritozzi and watch the life of the city. There are plenty of parks where you can get some shade from that hot sum and great views and vistas everywhere. The public transport is excelent, cheap and covers all the city. Avoid those over hyped tour buses and cram into the local buses with your 1.50 euro ticket, much more authentic. Walk when you can and its not to hot, you will find things that are not in the guide books. Look forward to returning !

The ruins, atmosphere and overall vibe of Rome is fantastic.

The ruins, atmosphere and overall vibe of Rome is fantastic. Romantic (obviously), historic and beautiful. Some places very crowded so be vigilant of pickpockets and scammers - the guys at the colosseum are an absolute pest! NOTHING is ever free so don't believe them when they say it is. would recommend going off the beaten track to discover better prices and better atmosphere - eat where the locals eat! We did a tour in a vintage fiat 500 of all the major sites, booked via get your guide, and it was great. Amazing value for money - the guide was so knowledgeable and we went to all major sites - Colosseum, Palatine hill, the forum, Trevi fountain, the circus, churches, and piazza navona. Throught the same app we also booked to watch an opera performance which was just an hour long but so worth it - held in a church, and right around the corner from the forum and colosseum.

The lift 😉 after lugging my suitcase up and down stairs for 5 weeks in air bnb's i appreciated the lift. The staff were excellent!! Absolutely lovely staff were so helpful and all spoke excellent English. Very professional and the hotel was just what I needed for my last few days in Italy. Easy walk to Vatican City and to major sites in Rome. I love that I could open the window in my room as well. I can't say enough about the staff. All lovely people 🥰

The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!

It is the best hotel we had reserved in Italy. It’s high value for money. It was not only good location but also reasonable in price. It had great facilities and clean rooms. The staffs were very kind and enthusiastic. But we didn’t have breakfast because we forgot that our hotel bill included breakfast. I hope I can taste breakfast next time I go to Rome.

The hotel was in close proximity to Trastevere and the bus to the Rome Termini. The room was large compared to the hotels we have stayed in when in Italy. The rooftop breakfast area provided a great view toward the centre of Rome. Definitely a recommendation.
