What you need to know - on day two of our stay the bathroom...
What you need to know - on day two of our stay the bathroom lighting and hot water ceased to work in one bathroom and this could not be repaired for us. Apologies given but no offer of compensation. You will be expected to manage the garbage and take it out so be prepared for this. It sounded quiet confusing and I refused to do it - The iron was not safe to use - yet is listed as available, this was very important for our stay as we were attending a wedding. I was later told by the owner - the iron was not meant to be listed. We we told by the owner we had broken the law as we had the air conditioning set to 17. Their are no windows in the bedrooms and it got very warm at night. This law actually is only for public places but it did upset me. The property is beautiful and well located. Weather was perfect, resturants did not have a big selection of other food than fish. The fish was served with pasta etc. but still, for a meat lover the selection was poor. The apartment is new, light and welcoming. Tony was always available by phone to answer any questions we had and offered suggestions for dining options, beach locations, etc. Appliances are all new and having a washer/dryer was extremely helpful. We were offered an upgraded room for our stay over looking the pool. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed and are very spacious. Breakfast is buffet style with the option of hot options available to order. All of the staff were so helpful. The pool area is delightful and peaceful and the hotel is easy walking distance to a number of restaurants close by in the harbour. It’s a great base to enjoy the region, the wild beaches (1 min walk) or lido nearby. Savelletri has a lovely boardwalk with over 10 restaurants, a couple of stores to get fruits, cheese and some basic pantry items. Monopoli and Poligniano a Mare are 15 and 25 minutes away by car. Gianni has helped us arrange a wonderful 3-hour private boat tour to see the coastline and generously shared advice on best restaurants around.
