My son and I traveled around Italy throughout May 2024 and stayed in 11 different hotels. I can confidently say that Villa D’Este turned out to be the best apartment for us, even compared to more expensive hotels. The location is wonderful - from the balcony, you can see part of the famous villa. The street itself is like a photographer's dream of medieval Italian streets! And the apartment itself - very, very clean! Very cozy! The kitchen has everything you need to cook (including tea, coffee, and snacks from the hosts). I took several photos of the apartment to apply some ideas in my own home :) A very attentive host helped us figure out the door opening system. I would have loved to stay there longer, but we already had a travel schedule. I highly recommend this apartment - the best choice!

The feeling is that you are in a real medieval palace where master Marco carefully keeps all the decorations, furnishings, real 16th century frescoes on the ceiling in perfect condition. Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.

Parking at Massimo easy to use and always spaces, underground part as well. Plenty of restaurants and cafes, Taverna Dracula and Mom's fantastic. Best foccaccia ever at cafe near the bridge. Villa D'Este, Hadrians Villa and Hercules temple all on one ticket which lasts 3 days for €30, well worth it.

Went to see the villas Gregoria, Adriana and D'este. I would not recommend Gregoria personally. In a deep valley, hundreds of stairs to climb, waterfall can be seen from one vantage point as can temples. Didnt think worth the time or money. Adriana interesting because of ruins. Three different lenghts of time offered to walk but with 36 degress thought 1.5 hours sufficient. Museum a must. The one villa that I thought superb was Villa D'este from the magnificent rooms and frescoes to the water features it was stunning. Lots of rooms - off rooms so need to look around and explore each part. Unfortunately to really get the best of the garden you need to travel down to the last level to appreciate it. Best to go early morning to avoid heat.

We stayed at Al Catillo and was so close to everything. The restaurants were the best part of Tivoli as there were many to chose from and a great value. Beautiful town with very friendly locals. Everything was close enough to walk and shopping was great.

I liked the area, lively, full of colour, lots of shops and restaurants and cafes. I particularly liked the Villa d'Este. The villa is stunningly beautiful and the gardens are lovely. Tivoli is easy to get around. If you stay near the centre , you cn walk everywhere. There are plenty of good places to eat.

Well worth the visit.

Well worth the visit. I stayed there to see Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este. Both were great, but Adriana in particular. I also liked the feel of Tivoli; despite having fairly famous visitor attractions (there is also Villa Gregoriana, although I did not explore that), it has a very "local" vibe.

Al Numero 5 is in a great location just in the old medieval tow. It's only a few minutes walk into the centre of Tivoli where there are great bars and restaurants plus a daily market for excellent fruit and vegetables. There is a spacious roof terrace with fantastic views and some great sunsets. If you are staying here, you must go to Villa Este, Villa Gregoriana, and dine at the excellent restaurant, Sibilla. Ristorante Alfredo alla scaletta is also recommended.

This is a clean and modern room perfect for our family of 4! Close to the shops and restaurants of Tivoli and a huge playground nearby for the kids. The Quad room was extremely spacious for our family and allowed us to relax & comfortable with all our luggage. A nice surprise was the very large private terrace! We enjoyed coffee while admiring the view. We had a car and parked on the street in the ‘white lines’ for free.

The apartment was clean, tidy, and comfortable enough for our short stay (kitchen is a little too small for preparing dinner). It's very well located too. Francesco was welcoming, very helpful with places to see and do around Tivoli, and with free parking nearby. We really appreciated the Smart TV available as well.
