This was my second time in Trani.
This was my second time in Trani. It's a lovely town with a lot of character. There are many great restaurants in the town, to suit every budget. There are many chic stores and the whole town exudes elegance. The park, at the end of the marina is a lovely place to spend an hour under the shade trees. There is a great little bar there, a perfect spot to enjoy a glass or two of wine. Trani is a step back in time : stores still close from 1pm until 5pm and the locals are friendly and helpful.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Trani is a wonderful seaside town in Puglia.
Trani is a wonderful seaside town in Puglia. The Romanesque cathedral and Swabian castle are a must-visit. There is also a typewriter museum worth checking. A walk around the port and the centro storico will complete a very pleasant stay here.Guest review byWestwardHoNetherlands - 10.0

We found Trani to be an excellent starting point for our trips. We chose not to stay in Bari, preferring the authentic atmosphere of a smaller city. Trani was a great choice. Trani is a jewel on the Adriatic with an incredible history .. Trani was a major trading center due to its position on the Adriatic . They wrote the first European marine code in 1107 (or around that date ) The houses are beautiful all sunwashed different colors. Everyone seems happy and relaxed . They are happy to help you find where you're going,Oh and the food ? You can eat very well for very little . Also I never saw a homeless person , or a policeman or heard a harsh word from parents to children between couples. The beach is the best . I never realized how much I hated sand . The white pebble beach is perfect, clean, nothing sticks to you like sand dies and the water?!. The water is warm , and welcoming not salty like California The port is also beautiful with fish caught and brought directly to the port restaurants where you eat fresher than fresher than fresh . She was waiting for us, showed around the apartment and gave us ideas of things to see in Trani. The accommodation is small but equipped with all the essentials. It is located in a narrow alley, close to the cathedral, the castle and the port. Free parking is available about 200 metres away, near the castle, and it was no problem to carry our luggage to the accommodation.
