Tremezzo is Charm...

Tremezzo is Charm... A quaint and picturesque commune. easy to get around. Location is perfect, with a pleasant, picturesque walk down to the lakeside promenade, where you have easy access by ferry to visit Varenna, Menaggio, and Bellagio. We ate at Helvetia Restorante, we enjoyed the food and the service was very good.

We liked the natural beauty, the history, the architecture and the food! It was our first time driving in Italy so that was a bit of a challenge but part of the adventure. Villa Carlotta was very interesting to visit - the gardens, house and gift shop were all lovely. We ate at several lovely wine bars, pizza places and cafes recommended by Lina and Alessandro. They knew all the best places!

Tremezzo is a wonderful place to stay.

Tremezzo is a wonderful place to stay. You can easily catch a ferry to other towns such as Bellagio and Menaggio etc. There are several good restaurants and lovely walks along the lake. It's quieter than other busy places like Belaggio.

Tremezzo is an ideal spot for stay in Lake Como and the perfect break from the crowds in the larger towns. There are a few restaurants and cafes and the Grand Hotel Tremezzo for some perfect lake side dinners and drinks and thanks to the Greenway path it was easy to navigate on foot.

It’s an ideal location for exploring the entire lake.

It’s an ideal location for exploring the entire lake. Most ferries call there and the no 10 bus runs an hourly service between Como and Colico. The downside is that travelling on the bus or boat with suitcases is not good. Both get busy and there is little luggage space - which also has to be shared with pushchairs. If there is no space you have to wait another hour and the same happens again. There does not appear to be any system of booking a shared shuttle service and even the hotel doesn’t suggest a share when several people need taxis. Its about £120 from Como station and £180 to Malpensa.

Excellent place to stay for groups with an even more excellent team. We were coming for a large event and reached out prior to the hotel team for some assistance. They were beyond helpful and adaptable to our needs - really felt supported by them! The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Excellent location with shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to villa Carlotta and ferry dock. AC worked well and amenities were great. Would def recommend! Thank you for looking after us team we truly appreciated it.

The property was extremely clean, spacious and very well equipped with everything you could need. Probably the first time a booking.com actually felt like a furnished apartment! The location is right next to some pebble beaches and the apartment is above some restaurants which is highly convenient. The parking options nearby is a big win during the busy season. The two separate toilets was also great for privacy. Cristina was also an excellent host, and probably the most responsive I have ever encountered.

Staying at Linas B&B was more like staying at home than staying in a hotel. The location was absolutely stunning, quiet, and calm with an amazing view on the Lago di Como every morning from the terrace, enjoying an authentic and regional breakfast. The host, Lina, is adorable. She creates a wonderful, welcoming, and cosy atmosphere and helps with recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, and even cake receipts. Staying here is definitely recommended!!

The views were exceptional from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were extremely friendly. The owners husband gave us a lift to the train station as we had missed the earlier boat and we stupidly forgot our passports, the owners husband came back to pick us up from the station and the staff organised for a taxi to meet us on the way as we were under time constraint. Couldn't have been more helpful.
