Small town, with some shops and restaurants, but we didn't see much of the Valledoria because it wasn't our aim. Valledoria was for us mainly base for travelling around North West Sardinia. It is a small city with infrastructure that can accommodate holiday needs. Shops and restaurants are across the main street, and there is also an info point. We also liked the grocery store - big and open extended hours (up to 8 PM on weekdays) and even up to 1:30 PM on Sundays! The beach is big enough and provides flexibility to use beach infrastructure like sunbeds with beach umbrellas or stay on your towel without too much crowd. Plenty of other beaches are in the range of 10-15 km, and even a water park is ~30 min drive away.Guest review byRobertPoland - 8.0

- Beaches are ok, but elsewhere in Sardinia you find much better beaches. - Places to eat outside are generally low quality, and overpriced. - They will try to squeeze every penny out of you, charging coperto (italian word for cover charges) on a toddler. - We have been to Cost Rei /Tortoli (Lido Orri) and other locations. The level of cleaning is the highest I have ever seen, anywhere. Astonishing value for money especially half board. I cannot emphasise too much how welcoming and friendly the staff were. It was a pleasure to be with them. The staff all worked long hours but were always smiling. The breakfasts were excellent. The evening meals had 4 courses and were good.
