Venice is such a joy to explore. I loved getting lost in the little streets and alleys—you can walk for hours and still stumble upon something new and beautiful. My favorite time was early in the morning, before the crowds arrived, when the city felt quiet and full of history. Yes, Venice can be busy, and yes, you’ll hear plenty of loud tourists But just turn a corner and suddenly you’re in a peaceful piazza or along a quiet canal. Tip: Skip the waterfront for breakfast—prices are high and the food is geared toward tourists. Instead, embrace the local cafés and enjoy coffee and pastries like Venetians do. Don’t come expecting an American-style breakfast; come ready to embrace the city, its food, and its culture. Our tour ends in Venice and Ca Di Conti was the hotel they have and I booked an extra night. And it was so perfect. We have a last day to walk arounc town ,take the water bus. Venice is simply magical. Many, many, places of cultural interest,. Extremely large choice of places to eat. Beautiful architecture. Fascinating back streets & canals. St Mark's Basilica & Doge's palace are OTT but amazing - don't leave before you've seen the prison. Water bus tickets need time to work out - don't leave it till the last minute. Ditto for anything booked online - they want your grandmother in laws inside leg measurement.
