The host was really friendly and we stayed in touch with her during our stay. She gave us a lot of information about the neighbourhood so we could get the best out of our stay. The house is in really good condition and very well maintained. The view from the house is really beautiful and there is even a garden where you can enjoy this view.

Really Nice hotel in quiet village. Clean and comfortabel rooms with clean bathroom. Delicious food, we eat there dinner in the evening. Big and very tasty breakfast. Nice and friendly personel / owners. We recomend this place❤

Charming hotel on the lake. beautiful view from the room. Quite. Helpful staff. right by the fairy docks. The city has bycle rents, water sports beaches, a Friday market and nice walk and cafes and restorants. We realy enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great at Locanda Capolago starting off from its location, to the impeccable state of the rooms, to the superb breakfast and outstanding restaurant and to the most courteous of staff. Starting from the location, it’s great because it’s not in the heavily touristic areas of Bellagio, Meneggio and Varenna which makes it quieter. Being further north we could enjoy the beauty of the lake and the mountains alike. Having a car makes the beautiful towns peppering the lake all within reach so Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna and others were all within reach. The rooms are highly finished and beautifully decorated. They are cleaned every single day. Toiletries are provided and towels are changed every single day. The breakfast was truly outstanding. They not only provide a buffet but they give you a menu to choose your own breakfast which they prepare on the spot. The restaurant is amazing. We are there twice and we were not disappointed. No wonder it was always fully booked for dinner. And the staff were ever so helpful and attended to all of our needs. And a very sweet gesture was seeing us off with a small complimentary bag of biscuits. Little things that go a long way. Everything was top notch.

    Small, clean, quiet town with beautiful views, kind people. If you drive then everything (restaurants, beach, shopping centre, petrol station, laundrette, etc ) is just a few minutes away. Has good locations nearby for hiking too.

    Little village directly at the lake Como, offering nice lake and mountain views. Does not offer too much in terms of restaurants, bars etc. other than the local pastry Scaramellini, which I can totally recommend!. Would definitely recommend a car to travel to nearby cities and mountains. The village is not overrun by tourists and nearby cities have a very Italian flair. Nice starting point for hikes in nearby mountains. Albergo Pizza was the best I tried in this area.

    Really enjoyed my stay, warm and friendly staff and a lovely hotel. Food and drink is very good, plus seems popular with locals around the area ... always a good sign. Considering i'm from the UK where we aren't used to warm weather for long periods the air conditioning in the rooms was very welcome. Great location for accessing Lake Como and some very nice mountain adventures. The views over the village were lovely especially for catching the light over the surrounding mountains.

    Great place.. I believe this is a newly renovated hotel. The morning stuff lady was very pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent for trips around the lake and around the area. Very clean a.d renovated bathroom.

    The Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The place is quiet and the Hotel has great views of the lake and mountains. The train station and town are walking distance. The car park had plenty of spaces.

    This was our second visit, the hotel is very nice, the rooms comfortable and clean. They were short of staff this time and this was reflected mostly at the restaurant and a very slow service.
