Our experience was amazing from the very start! The staff were true heroes, going above and beyond even before our check-in to ensure we arrived at the correct location. Since we were driving, they guided us to avoid fines from entering the ZTL zone, which was incredibly helpful. Upon arrival, the warm welcome continued throughout our stay until checkout. The room was fantastic—comfortable and beautifully maintained. Plus, the hotel's location is just minutes away from the city centre, making it super convenient. Highly recommended!

The great experience in HOTEL GIULIETTA E ROMEO. The picking reason is aboutely the perfect location from where I can walk to any place relaxly. The bonus is that the staff offered fully support when I had to attend a temporary conference meeting after checking out. I was touched when I saw the NO ENTRY sign. What they served was much more than a five-star-hotel would did.

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalised in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheatre which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theatre whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which offer cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laidback and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

    It's so easy to get around - be sure to visit the Ampitheatre/Arena and the fenicular, take a ride on the little tour bus and take a trip to Lake Garda - you can get to Sirmione easily by bus or train. Emanuel Cafe near the Arena was great - particularly the friendly staff. A lovely city with lots going on!

    This place is an actual gem.

    This place is an actual gem. I ve travelled extensively and I have to say this is one of my favourites, the historic area is an ideal location, trains buses were all so easily accessible and the staff really friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend a trip to Verona a great starting point for day trips to Venice, Lake Garda and the Dolomites. xx

    Plenty to see and a very interesting old city.

    Plenty to see and a very interesting old city. At times felt over crowded with large parties following a stick and blocking the way. There are a lot of places within easy reach by train to see while based in Verona.

    Verona is beautiful with so many historical sites to visit. It is easy to get around on foot. We did a pasta making course, that was really fun to do. If time permits also visit Padua, that is gorgeous too.

    Verona has the Arena which is unique and a very popular...

    Verona has the Arena which is unique and a very popular annual opera festival. A pizzeria call Vesuvio was nearby which had the best pizza I have ever eaten. We walked most of the time as it was hard to get information on bus routes. There are private bus tours available for places like Valpolicella which has lots of wine related visits.

    Verona is perfect for a 2-night visit. I highly recommend exploring beyond the old town as well — you’ll be rewarded with beautiful, uninterrupted views. It’s an excellent city break destination, with delicious food, reasonable prices, and charming surroundings.

Not far from amphitheater with lots of restaurants dotted around. Make sure you take lots of money as many great things to buy. Cab journey from Verona airport costs about €35 to hotel.
