Oh my gosh.......THE VIEW!!! Wow!!! The apartments were first class, recently renovated! Great AC and a fantastic location in Genoa. You ride a mini lift to get up to the apartment and the balconies have a full view of the sea!! Pictures don't do it justice. Also had off street parking as well!! Great location as Genoa is about 90 minutes from Cinque Terre region, Monte Carlo, Nice France and just over 2 hours from Lake Como and we did it all! Also had a nice little restaurant across the street on the beach called Pomo! Check it out for great food and friendly service. Tell them that Ray from California recommended them!! The staff of Campetti Apartments was fantastic!!

Hands down the best stay in our three-week tour of Europe. The staff was amazing. The food was beyond amazing. The beds were comfortable. All of our calls were answered with helpful directions and flexibility. I really can't say it more clearly, if you are reading this review and wondering if you should stay in this little gem off the beaten path, let me assure you. You should stay here. And if you stay here, you should most definitely eat here. In fact, the eating there is the best part. If you look at the website, it seems like so many restaurants in Italy. But, oh man, it is so much better. Everything is made fresh on-site, and sourced locally. Like, farmer dude next door locally. And every single thing we were served was better than the last. What translates essentially to vegetable meatloaf gave me a raised eyebrow. As an American, I was a little leery. But holy cow, it was amazing. These little warm breadballs were delivered to the table. Just bread, like so many restaurants in the US you would think, right? Oh dear gawd, I have never had light fluffy bread just melt in my mouth so deliciously. Every course delivered a new surprise. Fresh mushrooms picked that day? Sure! Beer brewed locally? Absolutely! And Nicolas (I think that was his name, the owner of the place) took time to describe what we were eating and where it came from. I mean, this was gourmet-level stuff for prices less than we'd pay in downtown Genoa.

We and our dog felt right at home. We were welcomed with open arms and an open heart. The hotel owner is an absolutely delightful lady, who we chatted with about everything the whole time we stayed at the hotel. She feed us and our dog and even packed us the delicious Italian food for our way back home. We decided to meet again in Arenzano or Napoli )))

The hotel offers excellent views. We had a wonderful view of the coast from the bed when we opened our curtains. Breakfast was very good, but wished they had some more hot food selection. Room was a bit basic - no hairdryer for my wife, no tea/coffee facilities, no safe. ALL staff were very polite and approachable. Made use of the very large outdoor pool and even more use of the pool bar :). Hotel is situated at the top of a hill (hence the great views), there is a "vehicle" to get you down, but this wasn't working. Good exercise but definitely not for everyone as it is pretty steep. Arenzona is a lovely town, with a train station that can take you most places or stops at Genoa where you can get anywhere in Italy
