Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro. It’s a must-try experience—the pizza is delicious, authentic, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Where we ate: Most of the time, we enjoyed a mix—some meals at home, plenty of pizza at Pizza al Metro, lunches and snacks while out on the boat, and groceries from Conad when we wanted something simple. Getting around: Getting around Vico Equense is very easy—if you have a car. The roads are manageable, parking is available with some planning, and driving makes it simple to explore the surrounding towns and coast. Without a car, moving around could be more challenging. Fun activities for groups of friends: Visiting Positano – an absolute must for its iconic views, boutique shops, and vibrant atmosphere. Exploring Pompeii – a fascinating and powerful experience, especially with a good guide. Renting a boat – one of the highlights, giving us the freedom to enjoy the coastline, swim in hidden spots, and see the Amalfi Coast from the sea. Overall, Vico Equense was a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure—amazing food, convenient location, and plenty of activities for groups of friends.Guest review byDumitrița - 10.0
Vico Equense is a charming town on the way to Sorrento.
Vico Equense is a charming town on the way to Sorrento. Because of that, traffic is quite busy. We highly recommend taking the train, it is only 15 minutes to Sorrento and about 30 minutes to Pompeii. During our stay they had a street food festival which was quite unique and unexpectedly adding to the charm. All restaurants serve wonderful food! Take a walk around town to visit the many beautiful churches, spectacular ocean views, playground for kids, and many shops. The only disadvantage is the longer walk/lots of stairs to get to the beaches and the expense of renting a sun chair and umbrella. It’s beautiful, quiet, good bars and restaurants but if you aren’t fully mobile, hard to navigate. The cliffs and hills make for a spectacular setting but you have to undertake steep walks to get around. If you have a car this is no issue. If you don’t (which we didn’t), be prepared to expend some calories. Time your walks too as it’s easy to overheat if you try it during midday. It’s the perfect blend of being quiet without being dead. Sorrento is chockablock full of braindead tourists, as is Capri, so Vico Equense is a far superior place to stay as you easily get to Sorrento and everywhere else on the train. Train is cheap and as simple to use as possible. Just one line, no need to buy a ticket just tap in with your card. And it’s peanuts too.Guest review byAnonymous

Nice view of the harbour and private beach Beach looked nice but did not make use of it. Breakfast was good, usual mix of hot food, fruit cereals, pastries & fruit. Nothing too fancy. Nice restaurant and good service. The location of the hotel in Vico Equense was perfect. Not busy like Sorrento and only a cheap (€2.20) 11 m train ride away. Decent sized room and bathroom, comfy bed and pillows, great waterfall shower and the view from the balcony is spectacular. The room was also immaculate and very clean. The area of Vico Equense is great too - not too busy and a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.
