Viterbo is a lovely town to visit and it is definitely a trip worth it if you want to escape all the hassle and bustle of Rome. Viterbo has a unique charm and I fell in love with it when I walked the Via Francigena. I stayed in Orchard Bed & Breakafast in Viterbo centre on the Via francigena path as it is available for pilgrims. Viterbo has more than one Spa resort. There are plenty of restaurants and the city is booming with vibrance and cafes. staying 3 nights in Viterbo was definitely worth it. The Park is lovely and the people are friendly. You do not have to worry about theft or other annoying misdemeanors. I would recommend 'Pizza Express'. It is an Indian restaurant, reasonable price and offers a wide range of dishes!!!Guest review byAquilaIreland - 10.0

I was very positively surprised. Viterbo is an absolute jewel. If you can, go there! Admire the fantastic houses from the middle ages or even older. Lovely medieval walled town with interesting history and historic buildings. It is easy and pleasant to walk in the historic part of the town. Interesting small museum mostly about the Etruscans. I walked easily from the train station, and my room was very clean and charming. It was a short walk to the beautlful town center, where there are lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel was very peaceful. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was modern, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was 5 mins walk away from the Centro Storico, Information office, bus station and shops.
