The breakfast was excellent. The location not easy to find especially if you are there for the first time. The staff is well trained, kind and ready and eager to go the extra mile to please you. Marzia received us and she is the milk of human kindness. Fabrizio in the bar is a genius of cocktails. Sonia the massagist is first class and very experienced. Chiara in the restaurant is excellent

Great place just few km from Etna. Good starting point if you are planning to visit Etna National Park or Taormina, but dont want to stay with crowds. Plus for very good breakfast with big choice of different king of food, serving in a place with the best view. Also in the room you can find very good local lemonade and lavender cosmetisc.

It was very clean, comfortable and the room was spacious and very beautifully furnished. The host was very helpful and kind. He even tried to find some forms for me for making cannoli at home which he hasn’t had to. I have chosen a room with sea view and it was stunning. When I opened my eyes I saw so beautiful 🌅 sunrise. It was gorgeous. There is a free place for parking your car outside.

The property is gorgeous, with so much attention to detail. I especially loved that they had a small space for our toddler to enjoy, with a little playhouse, toys, and slide. This was a huge bonus for us! The family/hosts were very communicative and available when we needed them. We loved our stay there and the location is amazing. I would highly recommend.

    This is a nice little town on the slopes of Etna and is especially convenient for visiting the Volcano. It is also close to the eastern coast of Sicily and its beaches whilst various tourist attractions are nearby. A car is almost essential though as public transport from the town is only by bus.

    Bad: - Beds were very uncomfortable. - Toilet creaked and wobbled when you sat down. - Small fridge was musty and never really worked. - walls were thin, you could hear people talking clearly - food was ok but not astounding Good: -Dinning room/ breakfast area was gorgeous, I would return for the views while eating meals. - View from shared balcony was amazing. - Blinds were so impressive they could make a supernova go unnoticed. - great parking

    The area is very interesting, with quite a lot to discover. The best way is getting a tour to understand the volcano and the whole area, how do they live and profit from the volcano. We visited also Parco Avventura Etna, fabolous fun for a family!

    Perfect location to visit Etna, as it's in the middle...

    Perfect location to visit Etna, as it's in the middle between the south side and the north side of the mountain. Small town but has all necessary shops, excellent restaurants and a beach (we didn't visit the beach as we were there for Mount Etna). Easy to drive anywhere and explore the area from there.

    Not walkable at all!

    Not walkable at all! Driving through winding roads was all we were able to do. The Sunday October festival was so crowded we couldn’t find parking so never got to experience it. Great wi dry tour, however!

    Great hotel located near Mount Etna.Ideal for exploring area with wonderful views Spa was relaxing and outdoor pool exceptional. Food was delicious. Beds were comfortable . Hotel should provide all guest with robe and slippers as part of their room.

    My stay at Monaci delle Terre Nere was truly exceptional. This is a paradise on the slopes of Etna amidst the lush Sicilian countryside, the property exuded tranquillity and charm. I can't say enough about attentive service, gourmet meals sourced from their own organic garden, exceptional collection of art, fantastic wine tasting and cooking class.... and the sleep. i travel around the world a lot - this is one of THE best places to sleep and simply enjoy time at the hotel. and time here is sweet and slow, just like local honey.

    We stay here for 5 nights and everything was absolutely perfect. Everything was clea , very friendly and nice stuff, the view from room, breakfast - absolutely everything. Recommend 10/10 for sure. The owner Cristina is super nice and friendly, she even asked us what we prefer for breakfast, when we want a breakfast everyday. I was shocked that there was a cleaning of the room everyday (we are not used to it if its not a hotel), clean towels every second day. So absolutely recommend, absolutely perfect.

    We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean B&B in Zafferana Etnea. The house offers stunning cozy and modern interiors, and a peaceful atmosphere. Mornings began with a delicious breakfast and excellent cappuccino, served by our warm and welcoming host. It’s a perfect base for exploring Etna and the east coast of Sicily—quiet, comfortable, with convenient parking. We’d definitely love to come back!
