When you imagine that you travel to a friends who lives at the village in Europe, what would you expect? Probably village life, which is different than the one in the city. What would you expect when you travel to desert? Probably much less confortable place than you can find here at MalakoRum. Very confortable rooms, european type of toilet, hot shower (we vere there just at the end of calendar year - so in winter time). Wow and such delicious dinner freshly cooked by the hosts. The stay for us was like visiting friends who moved to desert to farm there. So we expected animals around, and we loved it. When you see beduins next the desert streets they have also animals around. So the experience from the desert life was way more much authentic then the games played to tourist elsevere. We expected and loved that touch of authenticity. Jo was very kind all the time to explain all the things we were curious about - desert life,geology, history etc. and she turn to be very rich well of knowledge. She offered us a hiking tour in the mountains around and it was unexpectedly experience with a little climbing at the top of near hill top with wonderful view. Jafar may seem to be harsh and bitter, as the desert fruit are, on the first glance. But when you let to know him a little bit more you will find the cool and broad hearted man you can love. We had four-wheeler car so we wanted to travel more in desert, but without any experience of desert ride. Jo and Jafar helped us to plan our little desert trip, just for the time we had. That trip was also wonderful experience which we would have not undergo without the help of our "desert" friends. Thank you for encouraging and helping.

I really liked the place ,amazing staff,good vibes,the owner of the camp was very nice ,generous, he gave us a complementary dinner ,and he make us discounts on every thing،jeep tours,camel rides,stargazing, our room was very 😍 beatiul ,we enjoyed our time there ,I will com back again soon with my friends. Great family run wadi rum camp. Comfortable, large pods. Great food, friendly staff. Can organize lots of activities for you. Such a peaceful part of Jordan.

Everyone at the camp was so welcoming. They served us tea all the time and shared stories. The jeep tour was really cool — saw all the main spots. Felt like home away from home

We really were out in the middle of the desert, but we had every amenity we could ask for! Our “martian dome” room was too cool for school— and cool with a.c. too. Nice n’ new bathroom too! We loved sitting outside the room in the morning, on our bedouin cushions to watch the fantastic desert sun rise as we sipped our coffee. This is a great venue to see Wadi Rum’s other-worldly rock formations with a ride on a jeep, camel, or horse. On top of it all, the breakfast was excellent, and our bedouin dinner was a superb feast in the huge, central Martian. You really feel like you’re in a very far away land and time— but with really nice staff to keep everything magical!

– Our stay at the harmoni luxury Camp exceptiona from start to finish, thank you so much Abdallah for having us! Communication was great from the moment we booked. I have a nut allergy, so I wanted to make sure food arrangements would be handled safely, find out where we would park our car, as well as get more info about the activities available. Abdoullah responded promptly through Whatsapp every time he was back in the village (no signal in the dessert) and answered any questions I had and made me feel at ease. The location is AMAZING. The camp is the furthest one away from the village, so you get a substantial jeep ride to your tent which really builds up the excitement for the whole trip. When we arrived we were shown to our tent, which was bigger than we had imagined and spotless as were all the facilities. Meals are served in the communal tent, and there is so much of it and it is delicious. A particular highlight is when omar takes you out at night and digs up the chicken and vegetables that have been traditionally cooked beneath the ground. There is also a fire you can sit around within the tent, and chat, drink tea or play Uno! We booked a full day Jeep tour, and full day it was, setting out at 9.30am and not getting back until after sunset. It was one of the top highlights of our whole trip to Jordan! Our guide for the day was called omar who was very knowledgeable about the sights we stopped at and cooked us a fabulous lunch. The night before we left, omar lit a fire outside whilst we star gazed. It was a lovely end to the trip. To extend the experience even longer we decided to take a camel ride back to the village rather than the jeep. This was alot of fun and the camels are really well cared for.‬‏

The host was super friendly, waited for us till late evening until we arrived and welcomed us with lots of Beduin tea. He prepared delicious breakfast in the morning. Place was clean, AC/heating works well and we got spare blankets in case we got cold.

Staying with Ali was one of the best experiences of our stay in Jordan. This is not a hotel, we were welcomed into his family and home. His mother made some amazing food, we had a lot of fun during the evenings in the tent and tried out playing the Rebab. He also helped us with the activities in Wadi Rum without being pushy at all. We ended up going camel riding with his brother for just 2 JD each and the next day we did a hike to Jebel Kharazah which I can very much recommend. We stayed in a newly built house which was simple but clean. Also you have a lot of space. It's an amazing place to stay and experience the hospitality and culture of Beduins. Everyone who works at the camp makes you feel warm and welcome, as if you are staying with them in their home; Who you really are. The food the guys prepared for us was amazing, and lots of it! They won't let you go hungry!! Our jeep tour was excellent, our guide HAEL was really great, funny and interesting, you could tell he loved where he lived and was passionate about taking us on a tour of it!! We will definitely return to the camp again in the future! Wadi Rum is a magical place!!!
