Great views. Great trip. Only disappointment is the blue "lake" in Nakadake Crater. All the pictures show the "lake" while to my understanding it was destroyed during the 2016 earthquake. It was what drawn my attention to this location to begin with, so it was disappointing not seeing it. The host is incredibly kind and welcoming—it truly felt like coming home. The house itself is a beautiful traditional Japanese home, full of warmth and charm, and everything was spotless and comfortable. I instantly felt at peace here. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer. I will definitely come again and hope to stay at least a few weeks next time. This place has a special, calming energy. The whole hotel is elegant, with traditional Japanese design. You can take a lot of photos inside the hotel as its design is very different from those you normally live in big cities. 3.
