The appartment was very relaxed and had everything we needed. The location was very beautiful, we loved walking around in the neighbourhood. But most, the host was very nice! Respectful, and also very good company.

Seems like getting here with a car would be easier than public transport. The cottage was close to a river and there was a path down to the river you could take. You can still see some buildings and what looked like a power plant of some type, but the river and surrounding view was pretty enough. The place was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. A quiet cabin close to nature that wasn't too far from a town centre or convenience store (5 mins walk away). It was easy to walk to the 7-11 to get meals or anything else we might need. The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable and had all the utensils you needed for basic cooking. The establishment did not provide any cooking oil or basic condiments but we did not find this a problem (for our little bit of cooking, we bought a small portion of individually wrapped butter pieces, and a bottle of soy sauce under 300yen and left it for the next occupants). The shower was warm and powerful, and the aircon was great at cooling or warming the room. The pillows were filled with beads, and neither my partner nor I were used to them, but we folded up one of the sitting cushions and put that into a pillow case instead, and that worked fine. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. We would return to stay again.

Beautiful house in traditional Japanese style, with spotless services (fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry, little outside garden etc.). The highlight is the decorated central room, that can be partitioned into two separate ambients if necessary. Very gentle and helpful owner. Excellent starting point for explorations in the Iya Valley and surroundings.

Good location for us whilst walking the henro pilgrimage in Shikoku. Had everything we needed. Near a convenience store very handy for dinner.

It is a stunningly beautiful traditional Japanese gentry house. It is almost impossible to find a house of that quality ((details!) for a tourist stay. It is a true Japanese experience. The decoration is pure beauty.

Love everything at the guesthouse. The host is super nice ! They have everything in the kitchen. We were able to buy meat at a small local supermarket( open till 7 pm) and do yakiniku at the guest house!The host even went above and beyond to provide us the yakiniku sauce!! The room is huge and clean. Toilet and bathroom are shared but very clean and easy to use. The vine bridge and waterfall are 5 mins walk and we were able to go at night for different view ! There’s a free parking area for the guests staying! Would love to stay again if I come back in the future. Plus there are console games and comic books, great for family or friends trips. The host make sure we were comfortable staying at their guesthouse! Highly recommended to anyone if planning to stay around the area
