It’s beautiful. They have like 4 onsen and rooms with private onsen and you can also book a private onsen. Very nice for couples as the regular onsen are women or men only. We had the room wit private onsen and it was worth every penny. The room looked out on the waterfall and a nice Japanese garden. The surroundings are beautiful. You hear and see the waterfall, everything is like a Japanese fairytale. The employees are the kindest. And the food is probably the best Japanese food we had. The total experience was so luxurious and perfect. We loved it!

The owner and staff are very friendly and patient. The property is beautiful and provided great meals. The owner here is so kind, she walked us to our car when we were leaving and thanked us for coming. I am so happy to have met such wonderful people in Japan. The home is beautiful, location perfect, you have a designated parking space for your car rental. In this region car rental is highly recommended to explore. The host met us in person. The house is beautiful and calming. Loved having 2 bathrooms. Of all our stays in Japan, this part of the trip was favorite.

Amazing room with great staff who are very helpful. You have to pay cash a lot and they called me a taxi many times, as well as a free shuttle service to the staton at the end of my trip. The room was large and spacious and absolutely beautiful - the view was amazing! Although and old and dated place, it was still extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also good had a very vast majority of choices

Beautiful river views, room was not a traditional Japanese one but still got lovely tatami and shoji screens. Loved the onsen upstairs..the free bike rental, the lovely staff..only stayed one night, wish it had been longer.

    We visited in the off season, so not much was going on,...

    We visited in the off season, so not much was going on, although we knew that and it was all right. Onta Yaki Pottery Village was a terrific day trip, although we did have to take a long taxi ride to get there. We loved the friendly, humorous, laid-back style of the people in Hita - really lovely folks!

    I loved this town and could easily live here.

    I loved this town and could easily live here. I was lucky enough to catch Ukai (cormorant fishing on the Mikuma River while enjoying a dinner cruise). It has a laid-back vibe, with some excellent dining options close to the station. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to spend more time in this beautiful town.

    The old downtown area was so cute and the Attack on Titan...

    The old downtown area was so cute and the Attack on Titan locations were really fun to visit. The food in the area was very delicious, but many places closed early or required reservations for dinner.
