I booked last minute during a particularly busy time, so even though the hotel was a bit far from Nara, especially traveling with luggage on public transport, I was happy to get it. The room was nice and the hotel's location, close to the train station and a shopping area full of food options made it very convenient.

The view is exceptional and the neighbourhood is peaceful. But most important of all, the hotel owner is super friendly. After meeting him for the first time, Terence gave me a full itinery for a day trip in Nara and even shared with me for hours on ends about the history of Japanese temple architecture.

Breakfast was including in our meal the food was amazing, had most things and so fresh! We loved all the facilities onsens, indoor pools and communal facilities. Would recommend it to anyone with children/families wanting to stay somewhere with pools and onsens. The staff at the facility were great and hopeful when ever we had any enquires.

The ladies were very friendly and helpful. The traditional experience was just what we were looking for. We were able to wear yukata and tabi after the amazing hot bath and we were given a beautifully prepared breakfast that had more food than we needed.
