Spend my first days in Japan at Yurakusoan, and what a stay it was! It was amazing to experience traditional japanese lodging and cuisine at the same time, and also the onsen baths! The staff were very friendly, The shuttle bus service was very convenient, bringing you smoothly back and worth to Sapporo station.

Meals are excellent. Ingredients are fresh and seasonal. Staff are responsive and gracious. Lounge facilities are comfy and elegant. Selection of snacks are delicious. A variety of instant food available for midnight snacks. Food choices prepared by Chef Ito was superb.

The hotel is way better than our expectation. Staff; Mr. Ou is the best. He helped us during the check in, dinner and check out. He also gave us the ticket to the Jozankei Nature Luminarie only when we mentioned that we planed to go there. The Italian dinner is great and the breakfast was also very delicious. We got the room that facing the forest and a onsen bath. The size of the onsen bath is quite large. Totally recommended.

Super great experience. Although there was a minor hiccup at check in, everything else went smoothly and was great onward. They were able to accommodate for my dietary restrictions during both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were clean, modern, and great as well. Even the most basic onsen room was super large, especially for Japanese standards. The in room onsen was really great as well and just sitting there looking out into the snowy landscape was such a wonderful experience. The amenities provided are also super nice. The bus transport is also really convenient to/from Sapporo station and it takes you to the hotel right at check in and from the hotel right at check out (2pm and 11am). Staff were super friendly and helpful and the little snack shop/bar/coffee area/library on the first floor were also super nice places (make sure to get the burdock wasabi chips!). The large onsen on B1 is also super nice! Definitely recommend this hotel in Jozankei and you definitely get your money's worth!

I was very satisfied with the full range of services offered in this cozy facility. The beautifully presented meals, the professional and friendly front desk staff, the well-trained service team, and the spa facilities were all excellent. We have been visiting Hokkaido late March and the stay was wonderful. The staff was very nice and most of them had a very good level in English, we have a very fond memory of the people here ! The traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely amazing and is a must to try ! The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, perfectly encompassing Japanese beauty and sobriety, the private outside bath could easily fit 3 people and it was a bliss in the middle of the snowy landscape ! Please note that tattoes are not allowed in the public bath even when covered. We recommend 100% ! Thanks again to the staff for everything !

    A great breakfast and dinner buffet setup, a large room, great onsen, right where you want to be in Jozankei, there is very little to complain about! The staff are very professional and are very organized. During the buffet they guide you so you know how the flow should be and the usual chaos you see is pretty much nonexistent. The onsen facility contains both indoor and outdoor pools and both were fantastic. Right behind the hotel is a beautiful mountain view that i gorgeous in the snowtime.

    The hotel is situated in a convenient location - just a couple minutes' walk from most attractions in Jozankei, including the Footbath of Friendship, Shira no Taki, and Gensen Park. We booked a traditional Japanese room which was equipped with comfortable futon beds. The futons were extremely warm and toasty even in the middle of winter.

    Open-air public bath - Please make sure you try their open-air public bath! 森乃汤 is our favourite (takes some walk from the hotel building but the experience was very nice!)
