The meal was just incredible. Each meal is special, with many local and seasonal ingredients. This gives a proper traditional Japanese meal experience in my opinion, with plenty different textures and tastes. The scenery is breathtaking, with Mt. Ontake. There are free drinks available in the lounge, and the onsen is really big, with two outside baths. The staff is really nice and can speak decent english.

Nice and well-kept traditional establishment. The best experience we had of all the 4 ryokans we stayed in during our trip. Full meals are a must. Meals were fabulous. The hosts and staff speak English and were very helpful throughout our stay. Even offered to dry our gear and shoes after our hike in the rain.

Very friendly host and welcome. Property is also very welcoming and warm with small beautiful details and works of art about surrounding nature and stargazing. Only had a short stay, however we would definitely go back in the future.

A pleasant walking distance from the train station and places of interest. The view and sound from the river nearby were magical. Breakfast was diverse, and dinner (scheduled at check-in) had beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. The room was spacious with a blend of traditional aesthetic. Very clean facilities. Staff was always pleasant.

The hotel is a hidden gem. The facilities were outstanding, the western-style room was very spacious, hotel’s onsen was 10/10. Everything was perfectly clean and neat and the staff most helpful. We traveled as a couple and enjoyed our one-night stay very much.
