Only spent one day at the end of our trip which was enough to basically shop and wander the historical area which I think is the main attraction anyway. Beautiful, scenic, clean, historic. And we loved Yoshii Ryokan in the heart of it all. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We timed our trip to co inside with the festival of lights and so pleased we got to experience the first night of the light festival before we moved on. Kurashiki is a beautiful, well preserved old town, much like Kyoto but without the crowds of tourists. The Folk Art Museum and the Kyosai Museum are particular highlights. Kurashiki is a great town, especially the old quarter.
Kurashiki is a great town, especially the old quarter. We stayed several nights but also did day trips from our accommodation. It was great to come back to Kurashiki at the end of the day. We loved Kurashiki.
We loved Kurashiki. The historical quarter is so pretty with the gorgeous canal and its boats, along with the streets of former rice storehouses. The old town is quick and easy to navigate and there is so much to do! We also loved exploring the shops and enjoyed a delicious meal of Bukkake udon, a local specialty. Would highly recommend a visit here. Note: The Momotaru “Peach Boy” Folk Museum was great for our 10 year old daughter and fun for us too!!Guest review byAmandaAustralia

I wish I could remember one of the songs that played in the bath. The hotel is in the best location ever. If you stay 3 nights I recommend taking the cheap train (or driving) to Okayama for a day too. After travelling the places in Kurashiki for 2 days we saw most of what there was. The staffs did a great job to meet all of our various needs. They let us check in before time as we got there a bit early. The room was kinda big with a view of the pretty old town.
