The hotel is very nice; it seems to be one of the largest in Miyako and is quite central and close to the train station. Not everyone among the staff speaks English but they are very patient and there's always a way to communicate via translation apps etc.

My stay at Jodogahama Park Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Located near the beautiful Jodogahama Beach, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the Sanriku coastline and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. The private in-room bath with an ocean view was a true highlight. Soaking in the warm water while watching the waves and coastline was incredibly calming — a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully designed with traditional Japanese touches. I really appreciated the quiet and serene environment. Dinner was served buffet-style and exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of dishes, including fresh local seafood, regional specialties, and both Japanese and Western options — all delicious and well-prepared. Breakfast was equally satisfying, with plenty of choices to suit any taste. The staff were kind, attentive, and made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay. Their hospitality added so much to the experience. Overall, Jodogahama Park Hotel combines stunning views, great food, and relaxing accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.
