I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to get around and explore. The view from my window was stunning – a true highlight of my experience. Very convenient location right next to the station and all of the conveniences that come with that (restaurants and shops). They had a nice public bath and all of the usual amenities/toiletries, plus some. Convenience store right downstairs was extra handy and the room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was easy to connect to and I was able to cast to the TV

    I've been extremely lucky, I was in Niigata after a snowstorm and I found an amazing scenery of beaches under a white carpet. The fisherman market is an experience you should not miss, delicious food and crazy cheap bill. Try to drive the coastline!

    Niigata is a lovely place with warm people but be prepared to travel by bus. To be more flexible make sure that you arrange a rental bike as this city doesn't have the subway lines you may be used to from Osaka or Tokyo.

    Nigatta was a much slower pace. Feels like Sunday everyday. Chilled. It has fabulous restaurants and little local bars, great scenery. Definitely worth a visit for a few days. The bullet train ride from Tokyo to Niigata had lots of beautiful scenery along the way. So glad we decided to visit here on our third trip to Japan. Incredibly easy to get around with such an efficient bus service.

    I spent 2 nights in Niigata because the hotel I wanted was...

    I spent 2 nights in Niigata because the hotel I wanted was booked out. I recommend spending there at least three nights. I visited Yahiko, a city nearby, which has a gorgeous park with Momiji trees, it was beautiful at the end of October. However, I had only a small amount of time for Niigata itself.

    We always stay at this JR hotel when we are in Niigata. It is very easy to find from the train station and is very close to several shops we enjoy going to. Our room was very spacious - very easy to relax in and wind down after a day of traveling by train. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good!
