Style. Designed by Akira Watanabe 2008 Setting. Calm and serene spot yet only one block from the beach and short walk to the port. With beautiful views of Fuji Explore. Boat rides. Fresh seafood restaurants and lively markets. Deep sea aquarium. Rooms. Only 8 rooms. Was in lovely corner unit upstairs. A sanctuary with indoors and outdoors space. Bathroom looks recently renovated and connects to the outdoor onsen on my deck @ the hotel. The hotel is quiet, intimate, and in a nice residential neighborhood. Woke up early to perfect weather and strolled along the coast. Beautiful gardens with pine trees that I fell in love with immediately. Spa with saunas, indoor outdoor cold and hot baths filled with Fuji mountain ground water. Meals served in the fabulous Meiji-era tea house with attentive service Food & drinks. Excellent Chinese Japanese Italian fusion. Delicious meal with local ingredients supervised by chef Hirofumi Saito from Ichirin Hanare Prices. $1161 half board including alcohol (week days much cheaper) Rating. 5/5 wonderful staff and experience.

Very close to Numazu station Aqours themed + signatures by voice actors proudly being displayed (I chuckled and gave an inner thumbs up 👍) Endless coffee (accessible within the designated times) plus a handful of recent LoveLive magazine freely browsable (ULTRA BIG PLUS) 🌟 Various pillow types available for choosing (another BIG PLUS) Practically situated right near the middle of Nakamise shopping street (BIG PLUS) 2 trashbin in the room and 4 hangers (BIG PLUS) 2 type of indoor shoes (disposable + non disposable, comes with disposable anti bacterial sole) (EXTRA BIG PLUS) In the room, there is a carpetted area and tiled area. So you know where to use the indoor shoes and keep it clean. (RARELY seen design choice. ULTRA PLUS for cleanliness) 💯 As a solo traveler, all these minor things do adds up a lot when you consider all these are actually for the cheapest non smoking single occupant room! 3 sets of washing machine + dryer + 1 combo washing-dryer machine. Detergent + softener is auto added. Coin operated. Didn't manage to check if bicycles can be rented. But overall, for the price, it was a solid 10 for me. Looking forward to stay here again in the future when I visit Numazu!

The location of the hotel is about 4-5 minutes walking from north exit of JR Numazu just go straight across the traffic light. We stayed in queen double room but it’s still compact but clean enough. It’s a good value for money with breakfast provided after 6:30 AM.

It is a nice city with ocean and good izakaya restaurant culture and a few good museums which we really enjoyed. It was quiet when we visited with very few tourists. City itself has a few good points of interest worth exploring and its located close to other cities which would make for good day trips.

Citizens are polite, helpful and kind. You can sense the good feeling from the citizens. Even as a foreigner I felt so welcome! If you are a Love Live -fan Numazu is a must visit. Also to enjoy atmosphere of tiny and pretty japanese city. Everything is close by and cozy! Strolling around the bay area and visiting bordering towns like Uchiura are perfect for those who enjoy marine life or wants to get a good glimpse of the mount Fuji!

we enjoy numazu most during the sakura season. however, when not in season, we visit only for the eating. our favorite lunch is at the hama grill adjacent to the deep sea museum in the port area and our favorite dinner is at coos izakaya near the train station and the prezio hotel. and the freshly cooked fish at the prezio's breakfast was a winner too!

An amazing little town on the Pacific coast, with a bustling market street, beautiful parks and rivers, and apparently also famed in some anime circles. It also has the longest (and possibly the most beautiful) beach in all of Japan, and one of the best spots to watch the sun set over Mt Fuji (if you are lucky with the weather). The best day, in my honest opinion, is a day in summer or early autumn, just after it has rained (or between showers), when the sun comes forth in a spectacular fashion, and you have the setting sun, Mt Fuji with just a little bit of clouds around it, the Japanese Alps on one side, the Pacific on the other, and majestic rainclouds everywhere else. That is a spectacular view that you have to see, and that mere words cannot justify. In order to do so, then come to Numazu, and Senbon Beach! Also great place for couples (and just friends)!

A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific.

A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific. Still quite popular with fans of a certain anime, but I would argue that the town is a lot better than that. Friendly people, cosy neighbourhoods, lively market streets, and a beach that is not only the longest in Japan, but perhaps also the most beautiful. In one view, you can see the pacific, the Japanese alps and Mt Fuji. Add a sunset over the mountains, and you have the view of a lifetime (see photo of a decent example). You can get the train to Numazu, or the Shinkansen to nearby Mishima, and from Numazu you are 1h to Mt Fuji or any of the five lakes, or 30 mins to the onsens of Izu.

Absolutely unforgettable experience of travelling in time within the hotel and meeting friendly penguins and other creatures on the island! Everything was mindblowing from taking a bath with Fuji in the background to breakfast to the library to dolphins and seals! We would definitely want to return again. Please don’t turn it into a modern hotel, preserve the 90s vibe 🙏
