Absolutely stunning location, nestled in the forest next to a crystal clear stream. The host Yoshi was super lovely and helpful, showing me a hidden mountain walk to the charming Ryujin Onsen. We had a fire a saw some wild deer. We were so thankful and this was a highlight of my 12 day trip in Japan!

We loved our stay here! Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. I have coeliac disease, and they went out of their way to make us a vegetarian and gluten-free breakfast which was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a welcome drink in the garden. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and shared bathroom facilities were nice and clean. Would recommend to anyone walking the Kumano Kodo and passing through Chikatsuyu.

A simple cabin with everything provided. Shino is helpful, and knowledgeable on Kumano Kodo trekking. She provide us insightful information, and it did help alot. Her café is located nearby bus stop which is very convenient for us to catch the bus right after the breakfast. Not forget to mention about the meal provided, yummy and delicious. Shino also help us arrange for daily luggage transfer, and very responsive on any issues arising. Kudos to Shino.
