Great location, its just at the bus stop of the Takayam Highland bus (to or from Murodo). Dinner was an extensive spread of Japanese food (sukiyaki, oden, grilled fish, sides, rice) every dish was thoroughly delicious. I arrived at Tengudaira Mountain Lodge (from Murodo) at appx 4, the host was very kind to loan me snowshoe do to a walk around the area (May2023). Room was clean and modern. I was served an early breakfast at 630am and caught the 2nd bus in operation to continue my way to Bijodaira. I will return to this accomodation one day in Autumn. thanks for the great stay!

I always look for Dormy Inn hotels while traveling, because of onsen and great service, but the hotel in Toyama exceeded my expectations! Onsen there is something exceptional. I strongly recommend this place for staying, especially if you need a hotel for more than one night.

The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms and facilities looked outdated. But then I found out that the room and bathroom were very clean and bigger than what you usually get in newer hotels. It is about a 6-7 minute walk from Toyama station, which is fine, and there is a Lawson store nearby. The breakfast was really ""good"", and that made a positive points for me.

    It was a wonderful experience for me since this is my first...

    It was a wonderful experience for me since this is my first time to snow mountain , the view at Tateyama Kogen Hotel was really stunning . When i checked in it was very foggy and the next morning i just couldn't believe my eyes the ALPS peak is just in front of my room window . It was so close to me . It's really beautiful with the sunrise . Since i went there early 1st May , i can only see the snow wall corridor and the beauty of Kurobe dam . The view is really pretty. oh if you are planning to drive to Ogizawa , don't worry there are plenty of car park but make sure you arrive early . We park our car at Shinano Omachi and took a bus there as afraid can't find parking due to Golden week holiday , I could have drive up there !
