I had a wonderful time at Ololo Family Guesthouse. It is an ideal place for a family holiday to enjoy nature and comfort. Not sure why the rating on this is so high. It's called hotel but it's more like a hostel. We had to put the bedding sheets on ourselves. There was a big orange stain on the sheets and on the carpet. The bathroom mirror had a dried white substance on it. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was ok. I guess you get what you pay for. However, I wouldn't stay again.

This guesthouse was immaculate, clean and comfortable. Each room had a balcony and a larger communa balcony which looked over to the mountains in one direction and down to the lake in the other. Just delightful

Alimbek and his wife were amazing hosts! We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at their guesthouse. They have a beautiful fruit and vegetable garden, and were kind enough to give us fresh cucumbers, apricots and raspberries that were delicious! The room and bathroom was clean and spacious, and the location is a short walk to the Main Street. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in Cholpon Ata, or just for one night as a stopover through Issyk Kul.

The house we stayed at was very nice. It has ample room and it’s very clean, comfortable and quiet. It was in gated community, the area has 2 restaurants and beach access. Since it was a business trip, it's very difficult to find a hotel in the area - I think this is a good alternative.
