New ZealandThis place , yes you pd a lot for it for sth east Asia, I done 4 months in vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and this place was incredible , the view I got with a balcony was on 7th floor , overlooking the Mekong , stunning 😍..the bed so comfy, fridge good , aircon perfect, wifi good , bathroom best I've had in the 4 months , I pd for the buffet $5 US and believe me, go for it it was dam good! The hotel was top notch and the reception was huge and beautuful, staff also , always smiling so nice! 😀 I would say go there without question, yes the price is high, but i believe it is worth it! Loved 😍 it!

Sister in law fabulous food. Beef lok lak and especially the noodle soup!!! I will dream of the soup for a while.
Laundry was perfect.
Room super clean.
We stayed with balcony view and garden view both are great.
Garden was fabulous which encouraged birds which we loved.
We loved the scooter routes he gave. So helpful and we felt we got to see alot on our own. Great option.

ThailandI really liked the staff and the place where the Homestay is.
It’s outside town therefore you can rent a Bike or/and a motorcycle and enjoy the countryside but you can also easily go to the center (15 minutes by cycling) - 20 minutes to the bamboo bridge.
The staff is also really nice and helpful with any question you may have.

They offered a fascinating tour of the village and school, and Mr. Sophal was always available, eager to share insights about how OBT operates. His passion for the school is truly inspiring. To top it off, they invited us to the village fair on our last evening, making the experience even more memorable!

I went on a photography trip to Kampong Cham to photograph...
I went on a photography trip to Kampong Cham to photograph how the landscapes changes during wet season. I hired to local Tuk-Tuk driver to take me around both Kampong cham & Tbong Khmum provinces to photograph pagodas, flooded farmland, lakes, forests and to better understand how the locals live in wet season and how the rising waters disrupt their daily lives. I did visit the acclaimed Wat Hanchey outside the city and found most buildings & shrines & statues in good condition, but did not appreciate how they just dump their rubbish down the side of the hill behind the shrines etc, that was a real turn-off. One of the highlights was visiting a pagoda in Tbong Khmum province, Daun Mow Pagoda on the edge of Tonle Bet lake which had flowed into the pagoda grounds making for some amazing photo opportunities. A lot to see and if you get the right tuk tuk driver that can explain things and knows the best places to see then a bonus. Some very nice restaurants on the Meekong riverside. A full day tour cost us $25 and half day $20 to mountain even with 4 of us.Guest review bySTEPHENAustralia - 4.0
Kampong Cham is very poor city.
Kampong Cham is very poor city. The roads and sidewalks are generally in poor state of repair and restaurants and cafes suitable for Westerners few and far between. Tourist attractions seemed to be minimal so i wouldn't stay here for anything more than a transit stop.Guest review byGregAustralia
