We loved our stay at Silk Island Homestay. A beautiful family sharing their beautiful home. A little slice of rural heaven in amongst the city hustle. The house is gorgeous and very well presented. Our host cooked us a bbq dinner and made us breakfast the next day. Delicious! We hired local bikes and rode leisurely around the small island and part of the big island. Lots of banana trees and beautiful flowers (similar to ones grown in Australia). The silk place was interesting to see silk being transformed from silk worm... We wanted to stay longer but had to get an early morning flight the next day. Highly recommend for a little adventure on the ferry across the mekong to this piece of serenity. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world. We received complimentary early check in after we arrived very early just to store our baggage. The pool is really what stands out. View is amazing and also the bar was superb. Can’t recommend enough.

exceptional stay with Luxcity hotel. we arrived 2 hours earlier than check in starts, but we had a room without problem and no additional fee for that. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Very good breakfast is included and in general the food in hotel is good. we were suggested to be met by Luxcity car at the airport. always there is a good swimming pool, gym on 24th floor. The room is big, everything is new :) and there is everything in the room we really enjoyed our stay there and now regret we stayed there for only 1 night, Really appreciate level of service in the hotel

Super central location, yet peaceful and quiet when you enter. Beautiful lush garden, lovely swimming pool, good (although expensive) restaurant. Room is spacious, well equipped with enough space for your things, beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is great, big selection with some parts changing daily, loads of fruits. Staff is kind and very helpful, booked a very affordable ride to Battambang for us. We will definitely go back if we are in Phnom Penh

    Silk Island is a haven of nature and tranquility on the river. It is close enough from Phnom Penh that you can escape the mania of the city, it only takes about an hour to get there by tuk tuk. You do not need long to discover the place, it is possible to visit in half a day if you are short of time. On the island itself, there are traditional Khmer communities living and working. There are a few tourist attractions related to the silk production that occurs on the island, but don't expect lots of developments, western style bars and restaurants etc. This is a living, working community.
