Amazing place. Over the course of my holiday this was by far the best place we stayed. Quiet, relaxing, very friendly and kind staff. The food was exceptional and if i find myself in the region of Sri lanka again I plan on going back.

Our recent three-day stay at Shangri-La Hotel Hambantota in Sri Lanka was simply extraordinary. Despite the 3-hour journey from the airport, arriving at this remarkable hotel made every minute worth it. From the moment we stepped into this expansive paradise, we were met with exceptional service and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The variety of activities and leisure options available were impressive—whether relaxing by the adults-only pool, enjoying the state-of-the-art gym, or simply exploring the expansive grounds, there was never a dull moment. Walking through the beautifully maintained golf course was an absolute delight, as we encountered numerous stunning animals in their natural habitat, adding an enchanting touch to our stay. On our last day, we discovered the Ulpatha Clubhouse, which provided an amazing experience and a fantastic atmosphere to relax and enjoy sports at their finest. Dining at Bojunhala restaurant was a highlight of our experience. Without exaggeration, it offered the best food we had in Sri Lanka—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to the outstanding staff who consistently went above and beyond. The manager, Tharindi, was exceptionally attentive, ensuring our stay was perfect in every detail. Our housekeeper, Rohana, provided impeccable service—always efficient, attentive, and friendly. Moreover, the pool bar staff made our relaxing afternoons truly enjoyable. The vastness of the property offers something special for everyone, making it an ideal destination for both adults and families with children. The sense of space and tranquility is unmatched, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout. We highly recommend Shangri-La Hambantota for an unforgettable Sri Lankan experience. This is an amazing place. The house is big and beautiful and close to nature. You can feel real Sri Lanka here. And the host will provide you with a lot of information about living in Sri Lanka- something you will not learn elsewhere. All the members of the family taking care of the place were extremely helpful. We additionely got the nature Tour with weaver birds' nests and monitor lizards from the host! Excellent place for birds watching and nature lovers! We highly recommend it!!!

The owner was so lkind & helpfull in that he offered free Curd & Honey (the best quality Hambantota is famous for) .He is very concerned about guests and goes the extra mile which made my wife and daughter so happy with service ...

Perfect place! Like heaven on earth :) nice sandy beach! Very quite place! They have only 5 rooms so you always have your privacy: lot of free sunbeds at the beach, also at the pool. Staff is always ready to help you! Very delicious food! Everything is clean and well kept! Nice atmosphere! We even extended our stay for 2 more days! ☀️ Each room has terrace or balcony in front of your room! We will definetely come back! 💛

An utterly beautiful, serene place to enjoy peace and quiet. The villa was super clean and comfortable, the restaurant provided delicious meals and the staff and hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The location was on a long stretch of idyllic golden sandy beach with no one around. The pool area perfect. If you’re looking for tranquility and quality, look no further.

Staff is really attentive and helpful. This makes for a really stress free vacation as we did not have to worry about a thing. Food was delicious and always prepared fresh. Beach was as epic as it gets, long and wide sandy strip. Pool was well taken care of and loungers were plenty to be found in shade and in sun. Rooms, although simple, were comfortable and cleaned daily. Location is good, quiet and relaxing.

Cozy place! The owner is icredibly helpful, beyond the stay at Igabara. Helped us with the transport and activities, fairly recommending what is the best.
