absolute gem of a property, very well maintained, meets our objective to stay away from city and crowded places and be with nature. perfect support system with home cooked meal (at extra cost), Ms Petra is an amazing Host along with her support staff Raja and Rani, extremely cooperative. if we happen to visit Kandy, we will surely come back here again.

By far the best stay we ever had in Sri Lanka! First of all the accomandation is so luxorious. The whole vibe of the rooms is so nice, starting from the shower (which has warm water!) to the XL bed with AC and a lovely tea/coffee station in the room. Waking up to the sunshine was the best. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the wildlife. The pool was so clean and the staff was so friendly. He always helped us with organising and made delicious breakfast and lunch!

Large spotlessly clean rooms located in a quiet area with mounting views rooftop pool. All for an affordable price. But what really stood out was the exceptional staff. They made us feel welcome in that serene and genuine Sri Lanka way. Charuka patiently help get us settled in with all we needed when we were all flustered at reception and demanding of pillows and all kinds of things. Mahesh told us about Sri Lankan Buddhist wisdom as he walked us to the laundry and Spa. Sathsara regaled us with photos of him of the elephant at the Buddhist procession. he also gave us great recommendations for sites to see with enthusiasm.

The location is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have A/C and hot water, comfy beds. Some rooms have great rooms. The property is well built and unique. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They treat the guests with respect. I had several special requests and they accommodated every exceptionally. The food there js also great as they have a full menu and it is so convenient have a meal without leaving the property. The environment in quiet it is great to unwind by the pool in the evening. This has become my go-to place when I visit Kandy. I will definitely recommend Muduna Walawwa for anyone who travels to Kandy.

The owners make this place amazing. Warm reception with tea, helped with transportation to see the sights, fed us amazing meals and made us feel like family. The view was breathtaking at sunset, nighttime, sunrise, and during the day. The staff were attentive. The food was excellent (both breakfast and dinner). The bed was very comfortable. Amazing hotel, everything looks beautiful, clean and extremely well maintained, you have excellent views and the hotel staff was one the most kind, helpful people we met across our different stays in Sri Lanka. We were quite sad we could not enjoy this place longer, as we had to move to another city and continue our travel. I would absolutely recommend that you book your stay at Elegant Hotel!

    Best place for hiking and trekking.

    Best place for hiking and trekking. Walk through paddy fields, watch many varieties of birds, wild life, many varieties of trees and plants, meet villagers traditional handicraftmen , climbing the mountains, walk through gravel roads with large old trees both sides which makes you feel walking in a forest. Walking to the Lankathileke Temple on a rock, Embekke temple with traditional wood carvings, and Gadoladeniya Temple . Ambuluwawa temple was amazing.
