Absolutely unique place. I have been working in Sri Lanka for ten years now and every two to three months I need a reboot from the heat and bustle in the cooler climate. We tried many places in the mountains and seem to have found what we need: complete silence, away from the crowd, a “million dollars” view from the balcony (read your book while sitting in bean bag), a waterfall with a pond next to where you find yourself in an Indiana Jones movie (must get to the upper pond) and an very hospitable host. Yes, it's a bit off the beaten track, but it's worth it. Despite minor shortcomings and certain simplicity in the arrangement of rooms, everything is made with excellent taste and fantasy. Great homemade coffee, amazing grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes from their own garden and a personal touch. Couldn't expect more. I'll be back:)

The staff was really helpful. The location was nice, close to the town. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Got the chance to experience some factory fresh tea too. Highly Recommended.

We stayed here for one night we enjoyed it so much we extended for another night. The host is a very sweet & warm person. He is an interesting man and keeps his home and the guest apartments very clean so much so I was impressed at how neat and well thought out the spaces were. They smelled very fresh as did the bed linens and towels 🙂 We stayed in the budget room equipped with two huge beds, fluffy pillows a fan, great shower with hot water & huge kitchen with a fridge. This was so needed and appreciated after spending the whole day exploring waterfalls and trekking through the stunning scenery that surrounds this homestay. The host has a beautiful garden with tropical flowers and spaces for guests to sit and enjoy the garden also you can enjoy the many authentic & delicious breakfast, lunches & dinners the host will provide at a very reasonable cost. He truly takes the hassle out of everything for you and will go miles out of his way for you. We felt very safe and extremely cared for here. There are gates with locks on for your scooter and your own private access to the building. This homestay is in one of the most beautiful and historical regions in Sri Lanka. What an amazing place! Perched high on the hillside overlooking beautiful countryside surrounded by tea, cinnamon, flowers, monkeys, birds. A real gem. Delicious evening meals with a great view! Shiva was very kind and helpful!

To be honest ..there wasn't anything not to like ..the Staff were very welcoming and helpful and always available. Beautiful Peacefull surroundings in a very well maintained setting, the hotel offers plenty of facilities with pool and badminton area ....will definitely be coming again ...thank you so much

For nature lovers Sri Lanka is a paradise, this hotel provides just that exposure to nature and provided exceptional service to their customers to enjoy pristine nature in a traditional village in Sri Lanka which is not common in many parts of Sri Lanka. Hotel is surrounded by paddy fields (rice cultivation) and mountain range with ample water streams and medium-size water falls; we were exposed to sounds of water and birds during the entire stay and no sounds of people or street. Hotel is located in an exceptionally calm place; good for metal relaxation, and meditation. Hotel staff exceeded our expectations and provided local tours to experience village life and hiking in the mountains to learn fauna and water falls around the village. Hotel staff is exceptional in cooking traditional Sri Lankan or western food, kudos to the entire staff, manager and kitchen staff. This is one of the few places in Sri Lanka that we felt home sickness when we checkout. We will be back to this unique picturesque place in Sri Lanka in our future visits.

I had such a lovely stay at Landa Holiday House! The rooms are very nice and comfortable and the garden is exquisite! The host speak very well english and the food is also good. I can recommend to stay here for multiple nights.
