This place was faraway from crowd for those who like to enjoy the calmest most poetic atmosphere. Though it was only 30 minutes away from Sigirya Rock which I really recommend visiting early in the morning. Mr. Ravi was very welcoming and generously kind and caring with two lovely little girls and his beautiful wife helping him. He served us many delicious plates, and suggested for us to go on a walk to the nearby lake and come back through the forest. I can’t describe how romantic and poetic the lake was, surrounded by the beautiful rice farms. The villa was huge and had an outdoor bathroom which gives a special feeling taking a bath in the nature.

in the middle of the forest, pure nature, there are animals like frogs, monkeys, cows and birds. NAtural hut with no AC, just fans and roof ventilation. Very unique style. Breakfast and hospitality was great

We had an amazing stay at Dambulla Kings Inn. The hosts were so friendly and helped us with everything from recommendations to scooter rental. They also drove us to the bus stop.

A clean modern hotel with a huge room, quality fixtures and fittings, fully equipped with balcony, comfortable bed and an actual bath! The breakfast was massive, with a choice of either Sri Lankan or eggs, sausage and pancakes, along with fruit and toast. The hotel has a proper restaurant (unlike others that claim to) and we ate here one night. The food was delicious and plentiful, beer is available. The family are very happy and helpful, arranging tuk tuks and giving advice. Dambulla is a town without much to attract tourists, except the impressive cave temples and the international cricket stadium. The hotel is in perfect location for both by tuk tuk. Our visit coincided with an international match and the hotel is actually within walking distance of the stadium, about half an hour flat walk.

So beatiful and calmly place. Lake area is gorgeous and the view is stunning. Staff is helpful and friendly in every way. We booked at first only one night, but the we extended for 3 more days. Rooms were quiet big and comfortable. Clean and the food was ok, but not that special like we got in the rest of the country.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had strong water pressure with hot water, and great air-con. It says ‘Eric~South Korea’ I guess because I’m here now. I’m from California and I’ve traveled 126 countries. I was very sick when I arrived at the hotel. I slept long time. When I woke up, I came out and the first thing they did was offer to bring breakfast at 11:30am on several plates. That never happened to me in Cal., any other state in my country, and no other time in these other countries, except this place. When was the last time you were offered the complimentary breakfast at 11:30am?!

The hotel was awesome! First we were welcomed with refreshing wipes and nice juices. They also made some kind of nice ritual with candles. Then we went to our room,which was so big,clean and comfy. Also we had a bathtub on the balcony. There was super big mango garden,where you can take walks and you can visit the nearby lake. There were several activities like big beautiful chess and ping pong. The food was a great combination of traditional and international food. It had great presentation and was delicious. The best thing in this hotel was THE STAFF. Everyone was so nice, always there to help you and assist. They were always smiling. We loved the manager,the cleaning ladies,all the girls from reception and restaurant. So nice! We reallyliked a girl named Sachini, which was mainly on the ba, she was super nice. My personal favorite one though was the NATURALIST!!! Her name was Sithumi. We definitely recomend going on the safari tour with her. She was so so so nice,always helping out and she knew so much about all animals! She saw birds for maybe 2 seconds and already knew the kind! So impressive! She was caring for all of us so much! Definitely recomend this hotel and we would love to come back❤️
