Recently stayed at Tara Waterfall Hotel for a night and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is a perfect example of modern minimal architecture, with its sleek design and glass walls. The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking view of the Handapan ella waterfall from our room and pretty much from everywhere in hotel. Waking up to such a stunning sight was truly unforgettable. The room was very comfortable and large and had a balcony overlooking the tea estate and waterfall. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Food was also good and reasonably priced.

Next to the stunning beauty of the place (the room, the waterfall, the restaurant, the rainforest trails,..), the warm welcoming staff and owners (who make the best food in sri lanka), i was struck by the peaceful energy. This was the place in Sri Lanka where i really got energised. Thank you!!

We've accommodated in hotel sanctuary last week. It was very clean and attractive.The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well organized.The pool area was fantastic, to have fun.The hotel keeper was very friendly and helpful.The hotel owner was the same. The meals were really delicious.We could enjoy the scenic beauty of rakwana mountains right from the hotel.That accomodation package was very reasonable for the payed price.I recommend this place for people, who are expecting a perfect stay near Rakwana.

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.

It was simply precious. Private , secluded area. The owners picked us up with a jeep, organized a jungle tour for us and gave us a ride as well. The family is incredibly hard working and polite, they try their best to accommodate our wishes. The food is amazing. No AC but it wasn't necessary as it was pretty cool at night.

Everything was excellent from the very beginning of our arrival. We were warmly welcomed with refreshing tea. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding—everything was incredibly delicious. The hosts were very friendly, and we felt right at home. Umesha is an amazing hostess. Thank you so much for the magical tea that helped me recover faster. The best memories of this place. I'm a wildlife Photographer and I've been seeing Hemal as guide for several years now. He recently renovated the place as a guest house and it is fantastic. The place: The room was clean, AC and facilities are brand new and the view is exceptional! It is located a beautiful 10 minute walk from the park entrance, surrounded by green. And is directly next to the path that you would take for a night tour, which is a must in Sinharaja (And nobody is allowed to enter the Park at night). Hemal's wife is cooking and I doubt any of the luxury hotels near by will match the love and effort she put in every single meal. As it is common for Sri Lankan hospitality, they will always ask you if anything is missing or you have any special wishes and will drive to the nearest shop to buy it, without asking. The guide (Which is much more important in Sinharaja!): Hemal is known within the entire community as one who spots the most animals and knows so much about them. While all guides need to absolve basic training to become a guide, you can tell that he is truly passionate about the nature and he will tell you the English, Latin and partly the German names for most of the animals that we saw. You can also tell that he deeply respects the animals and the eco system and puts safety of you and the animals above anything. He grew up right in that village and he's is in the forest every day even on his days off so he always knows all the best spots!

Our stay at Aadiv Twin Villas was the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful and full of charm, located in one of the most stunning regions we visited. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful – he truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well cared for. There’s also a lovely swimming pool with breathtaking views – the perfect place to relax and take in the surroundings. And the food… absolutely unforgettable! We had the best curry in all of Sri Lanka right here. A perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and a real taste of Sri Lankan hospitality.
