The rustic charm and quirkiness of the treehouse exceeded expectations. The staff we’re fantastic and took us on a private safari in Udawalawe (about 25 minutes away) where we got so close to the elephants. They also arranged a guided canoe trip on the nearby lake - sadly no bathing elephants this time but plenty of other wildlife to see. The evening meal we had there was perhaps the best curry I have ever eaten and all of this at exceptionally good prices. We spoke to several people who went to Yala and spent far more, saw far less and didn’t seem get anywhere near the experience we did.

The food was incredible and the hosts were so generous with it, we could not finish it all. We loved the birds and the nature surrounding the property. Roshani took us to a beautiful sunset lookout point. We loved everything about our stay!

I had a really great stay here! The people are super friendly, accommodating and helpful! They also helped me book a safari spontaneously, which worked out very well! From breakfast to dinner everything was perfectly organized and the food was delicious! Also the room was great for a low price! Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net, there was hot water and air conditioning. I can highl recommend the accommodation and would definitely come again!

The location was perfect, less than a 5 minute drive to the safari, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves through out our stay, the room was super spacious and very clean, we had dinner in the restaurant at the hotel and was very delicious, it’s not very close to any other restaurants, we tried the town nearby one evening but the options very limited. The staff were also so helpful, organised our tuktuk and helped us get the bus the next day, definitely recommend staying here

This stay was a great experience! The accommodation is a beautiful oasis, and the cottage was very modern and clean. Communication online was good. Leel adviced us to do an afternoon safari instead of morning. Happy we listened to him! We saw around 40 elephants, a crocodile and many other animals. The food prepared by Leels mother was the best we have had in Sri Lanka, both dinner and breakfast. Such a lovely woman! The driving that Leel arranged was in a modern, compact minivan, with belts and aircondition. Driven by his nephew in a safe manner. He picked us up in Ella, and drove us to Yala. The day after he also drove us to next location. Incredibly kind. Bring bug spray!!

We were very pleasantly surprised for the price we paid!! Very clean tidy place, very good bed we had amazing sleep, best shower we had so far in all of Sri Lanka, very nice young man helping us with everything you ask for, very good food in big portions!! Nothing bad to say here I would very much recommend. Also because the bungalow is made out of clay, it’s quite cool!

We really enjoyed our stay here! 😊 if you’re about to go on Safari tour, this place is perfect! The staff is so helpful - they even prepared amazing sandwiches for us for an early morning tour!

We loved our stay here, Milan was so friendly and nice to chat with. We had the whole place to ourselves (by luck), it was so peaceful there. The room was very well equipped with a working tv with English channels, great aircon and shower. The balcony on the river was lovely, we saw all kinds of birds and even a turtle in the river (or tortoise?) We did the full day 12 hour safari for 49,000 (2 people) organised by Milan. We had a great day, it was long and hot but worth it. Milan got us a good taxi to Tangalle the next day too. 10/10 recommend, it really felt like a proper safari lodge stay!!
